This spunky new club features a wide repertoire of music from popular Mandarin and catchy Korean, to funky Thai, trendy Japanese and contemporary English hits. Guests will also be roused to grooving good times with smooth mixes from the two resident Thai DJs (DJ Opx and DJ Love from central Bangkok) as well as future guest DJs from the region. For starters, COCO will play host to Brazilian DJ Masa on 17 December 2011 who will be spinning his unique ‘Masa Mixes’ of Korean pop. His love for Asian pop culture has inspired the young enterprising music producer /DJ to create mash-ups of Japanese, Korean and Chinese pop for an international audience (Pre-sale tickets at $30 are available at Mulligan’s and COCO; door tickets are priced at $38).
What’s more, COCO’s live music programme is boosted by energetic performances from its resident singers, comprising Eddie, Devin, Sasa, Aaliyah, and Penny. Accompanying them is the new four-piece resident band – Ammunition. The band and singers are supported by slick choreographed routines by a cast of Asian show dancers.
