Southeast Asia’s premier theme park will debut, on 1 March 2013, the world’s first fully immersive Sesame Street indoor themed ride to be enjoyed by the whole family together, taking you on an outer space adventure with Elmo and friends, at Universal Studios Singapore.

Bringing the world’s longest-running and most beloved children’s television program to life, the indoor themed ride named Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase will feature a zany science-fiction inspired plot, coupled with signature Sesame Street comedic style and music. You will find yourselves fully immersed in fun surroundings and special effects, alongside your favourite friends from Sesame Street.

The ride will feature 12 characters from the Sesame Street repertoire, starring Super Grover and the lovable Elmo, who turns into Super Elmo to help save the day! Created exclusively for this ride, these gluttonous super villains are well underway in their plot to steal all spaghetti and noodles on Earth.

Singapore's first Ice Gallery has opened at Snow City.

Measuring 7.3 by 17.5m, the brand new "Dino World" features more than 20 intricate ice sculptures created by celebrity ice sculptor Jeffrey Ng. A multi-award winning Singaporean ice sculptor who has represented Singapore on the international stage for over 20 years, Jeffrey Ng helmed the creation of Snow City’s ice gallery. He led a team of experienced snow sculptors to create impressive ice sculptures of dinosaurs set against a cascading waterfall.

Creating the ice gallery was a massive feat done over three weeks at sub-zero temperatures, using nearly 500 blocks of ice with each weighing about 130kg.

Snow City is the only permanent indoor snow centre in Singapore. Wholly owned by the Science Centre Board and operated by Snow Venture Pte Ltd, it has a three-storey high and 60m long snow slope for you to snow tube. They also offer unique corporate team-bonding programs and a variety of special events throughout the year. It also serves as a wedding venue for couples looking for a truly white wedding.

The indoor edutainment theme park, KidZania, is heading to Sentosa.

Originally from Mexico, KidZania is a one-of-a-kind concept which allows children to learn about the world of adult occupations by role-playing different professions.

They offer interactive learning and entertainment experience targeted at kids aged 4 to 14, combining role-play with real life. Unlike other theme parks, KidZania, does not feature any rides or arcade games. Instead, through its partnerships with various Industry Partners, children participate in a variety of role-playing activities specifically designed to aid physical and intellectual growth.

Sentosa will be developing an 11,500 square metre Family Entertainment Centre (FEC) to house KidZania Singapore at Palawan Beach 1. This leisure cluster by the beach is being rejuvenated into a destination for families with young children. KidZania Singapore will complement the outdoor fun of Palawan Beach and Port of Lost.

The FEC is scheduled for completion in 2014 and will be directly linked by a sheltered bridge to the Sentosa Express monorail, the Beach Carpark and a new Arrival Plaza for coaches.

The 35-year-old Science Centre is set to go through a $29 million revamp.

The work includes building a digital planetarium, a virtual aquarium, a city gallery, a children science centre and a space academy. In order to respond to the rapid profession of Science and technology and its need to keep up with new attractions.

One of the first attractions to be ready will be the $8.5 million children science centre targeted at kids aged eight and below; as well as a three dimensional virtual aquarium to allow a multi-sensory experience.

A $5 million city gallery and a $7 million space academy will be launched by 2017, where students will be able to participate to intensive programmes by former National Aeronautics and Space Administration (Nasa) scientists.

Discover the Giant Panda Forest, home of Singapore's very own giant pandas, Kai Kai and Jia Jia.

Kai Kai was transfered to the Ya-an base of China Conservation and Research Centre for the Giant Panda after a massive earthquake hit Wolong on 12 May 2008.

Located at the Yangtze River zone at River Safari, the wonderous Giant Panda Forest is a 1,500m², state-of-the-art biodome designed and landscaped to simulate the giant pandas' natural habitat in the rugged highlands of China.

Covering an area about the size of an Olympic swimming pool, this spectacular exhibit is climate-controlled to a cool and comfortable 18° to 22°C. The largest of its kind in Southeast Asia, the Giant Panda Forest features a roof constructed with double pane glass alternated with insulated metal, which allows in plenty of sunlight into the exhibit, illuminating the lush homes of their two beautiful giant pandas as well as the golden pheasants and red pandas.

The new Marine Life Park, is the world's largest oceanarium. It houses over 100,000 fish in over 55 million litres of water which includes the aquarium, dolphin experience and Reef Swim.
