Marina Bay Sands and TAO Group will unveil Avenue Singapore on 23rd May, a swanky speakeasy-style lounge on the ground level of the same complex as the newly-opened Marquee Singapore but with a distinctly different vibe. Designed by iCrave, Avenue Singapore presents itself as a layered, luxurious and immersive environment for those who seek a more intimate venue for a night out.
Drawing inspiration from original locations in New York and Los Angeles, Avenue Singapore Singapore will feature the latest in craft cocktail technology and fun features like a mini bowling alley and arcade with vintage pinball machines, in addition to their plush custom banquets, DJ booth, intelligent lighting and top of the line Funktion One sound system. This space will also play host to a distinct hip-hop and rock n roll music experience with its own DJs, entertainers and exclusive parties.
Established in 1932, Tiger Beer, Singapore’s definitive local beer, is now enjoyed across the globe. Tiger Street Lab at Jewel Changi Airport is Tiger’s first curated experience for locals and tourists alike, bringing to life ideas that appeal to consumers, such as unique beer flavours and customised merchandise. A seasonal range of beers and merchandise will also be available.
Profits from beer sold at Tiger Street Lab will go towards Tiger Street Food Support Fund, which celebrates Singapore’s heritage-rich street food culture and supports the next generation of hawkers.
Take partying to new heights at Marquee, the hotly anticipated addition to Marina Bay Sands’ nightlife lineup. Revel in a fully immersive nightclub experience incorporating design, technology and cutting-edge sound across three different floors, dramatically high ceilings that soar 70 feet and a full-sized, an eight-armed Ferris Wheel that offers unrivaled views of the nightclub when you ride in its pods.
First established in New York City in December 2003, Marquee Nightclub was subsequently followed by Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas and Marquee Nightclub at The Star – Sydney. The Marquee brand remains the number one destination for premier music talent, featuring residencies of world-class entertainers and DJs like Kaskade, Dash Berlin, Erick Morillo, Andrew Rayel, DJ Khaled, French Montana and Travis Scott. Once again, TAO Group and Marina Bay Sands is set to elevate the nightlife landscape in a new market with the opening of Marquee Singapore.

Bringing you a one-of-a-kind experience, b bar is a swanky hideout at habitat by honestbee and is home to an exclusive spirits and cocktail bar that presents New Age Classics, its first of many seasonal themes. Inspired by gastronomy and culinary techniques, ingredients are sourced from around the world, available for purchase at habitat by honestbee.
Resident bar manager Anton Gornev uses modern techniques to recreate classic drinks infused with local and Asian flavours. Originally from St Petersburg, Russia, Anton brings with him a wealth of international experience having competed in competitions across the globe. Employing gastronomy techniques such as fat-washing, sous vide infusion, milk clarification, and even using a bee smoker, Anton’s inventive style adds a layer of depth to b bar’s cocktails. Apart from a change of menus, b bar’s interior decor and uniforms will be updated accordingly to bring a new take to the experience.
Sharing his inspiration behind the current theme of New Age Classics, “As a bar that’s just opening, I wanted to shine a spotlight on classic cocktails to showcase how bartending began and evolved, but with my own modern take. habitat by honestbee is an exciting playground of exotic flavours and fresh ingredients that have inspired me to take on new concoctions.”
b bar is hidden beyond the Wine and Spirits alley of habitat by honestbee, serving as an element of surprise behind the illusive mirror. Colours and geometries give the shelving its own character with brass and stone adding to the richness of textural qualities of the space.
Those looking to ease back this month will be able to indulge in b bar’s low ABV (alcohol by volume) cocktails which pack more flavour than potency. To provide guests with more options, b bar’s menu is categorised into low to high ABV cocktails to suit any occasion. Not to be missed at b bar is Anton’s signature cocktail, Bienvenido, which is a Top 3 finalist in the 2018/2019 Bacardi Legacy competition. Also look out for Milky Whey, a classic milk punch cocktail made with a secret natural cola recipe comprising 15 ingredients, including dried lavender and coriander. More than your average mocktail, b bar’s non-alcoholic cocktails are complex and nuanced. Made with habitat by honestbee’s cold brew coffee from Hinoki and homemade kaya from Lazy Loaf, the Cold Brew Colada is a spin on the traditional Pina Colada.
Tucked along Zion Road is Yujin Izakaya, a lively hang out where one and all are received as friends. Spotting an industrial-chic look, the unassuming modern 50-seater izakaya features a bar that opens to the five-foot way and main street, beckoning with the glow of display fridges showcasing an enticing range of sake. Step past the metal mesh doors at the entrance and you will find yourself being welcomed into a space humming with positive energy.
An open kitchen anchors the room dressed in a palette of black and copper, and this is where chef-owner Freddie Lee fires up a curated repertoire of creative bites that take its inspiration from the traditional Japanese izakaya. The menu spans inspired cold and hot appetisers, smokey grilled vegetable, meat and seafood dishes, beautifully singed skewered items, warming items served in small bowls and light desserts.
