Set in a heritage shophouse spread over 3,600 square feet in the heart of the CBD, this quintessentially British cocktail bar exudes understated luxury and bears a distinctly regal theme, celebrating the Royal Houses of Normandy to Lancaster and Tudors to the Windsors.

Helmed by General Manager Rob Scott, former Group Beverage Director of Burnt Ends, Meatsmith & Rogue Trader, The Monarchy offers a carefully curated menu of timeless cocktails through the ages, and will introduce a new cocktail list quarterly, enabling guests to take multiple journeys through the history of Great Britain's most popular tastes and tipples of the day.
The opening cocktail list “Cool Britannia” is named in celebration of the modern, outward-facing Britain of the 1990s and the period of increased pride in the giddy cultural fantasia of the United Kingdom – the name itself a pun on the title of one of Britain's most patriotic songs, ''Rule Brittania''.

Junior has released their latest concept, Pacifica, paying homage to authentic Tiki traditions and unrivalled tropical escapism. Pacifica encapsulates the enchantment of Polynesian culture through artisanal exotic spirits, fresh seasonal ingredients and high-quality décor.
“With Prohibition officially repealed, and recognizing that people hadn’t tasted a decent drink during the previous fourteen years of darkness, with the smell of Rhum always in my nostrils, I started to concoct some unusual, and at the time, exotic drinks”– Ernest Gantt (aka Tiki legend Don the Beachcomber).
Tiki is the manifestation of gracefully swaying palm trees, white-sand beaches and exotic visions of island cultured borrowed from tales told by American soldiers. These island dreams manifested themselves into some of the great themed bars of the 1920s and 1930s. The establishments exemplified the lure of the tropics providing a dramatic and inviting escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Pacifica’s cocktail menu is divided into four unique sections; Legends of Liquid Lore, Apertiki, Traditional Tipples of the Tropics and Progressive Potions of Pacifica.

Helmed by Chef Lamley Chua, who brings a lifetime of experience working in International and Michelin Star restaurants such as LP+Tetsu, divides the menu into five distinct sections; Starters, Maki, Aburi Nigiri, Hot Small Plates and Hot Big Plates. The menu challenges what guests already know about Japanese cuisine and pushes the boundaries between traditional and modern, eastern and western.
The Bushido code is a Japanese code of conduct that is embodied by samurai, and is a sacred set of virtues that Chef Lamley lives by. His craft is defined by tremendous respect for tradition and maintaining the integrity of ingredients. He elevates a time-old cuisine with contemporary flavours to suit the modern palate. The delicate balance of flavours showcases the complexity of each dish and his thoughtfulness. To honour the integrity of each ingredient, he only uses the highest quality of ingredients to derive the purest taste, which can only be achieved by exercising consciousness in the sourcing of these ingredients. By taking the time to understand the work that goes into quality produce, Chef Lamley ensures that nothing goes to waste.
All Coterie Concepts’ outlets are interconnected by a narrative, stay tuned for the next part of the story. In the meantime, you can read more about all their establishments here.

The newly opened Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore has a few exciting F&B concepts to offer. Frieda, which is located within Capitol Piazza is one of them.
Freida draws inspiration from its namesake, who was warmhearted, generous and the very embodiment of hospitality – creating a home away from home, where guests could feel a sense of place and belonging no matter where how far they travelled. It is her spirit of warmth that permeates the restaurant with its four distinct spaces designed to serve every guests’ need.
Right at the heart of the restaurant is the Daybar – inspired by Berlin’s urban style, it is perfect for enjoying abendbrot, a casual evening meal, with a pint of ice-cold German beer on tap, or one of the many German liquors that line the shelves. The Pantry’s open kitchen counter provides an interactive experience with chefs; a cosy, intimate dinner awaits at the Dining Room and the enchanting, botanical-themed Frieda’s Garden sets the stage for a romantic evening.

Pink Blossoms Brewing is a newly-launched microbrewery and tasting room concept in Ubi.
They have created 2 special flagship brews. “Lean on Me”, is a dry-hopped and citrusy New England Pale Ale; and “Hundred Years”, a smooth, light milk stout with distinct chocolate aromas.
Big adventures have simple beginnings. For Pink Blossoms Brewing, it started with one man's dream to share the delicious flavours he tasted in his beer pilgrimages with his community.
An accountant and tax advisor by training, Pink Blossoms Brewing's founder Hong Han could never imagine that he will someday become a brewer. Work brought him to the US where he became mesmerised by the diversity and creativity of the American craft beer industry. It was love at first sip. Weekends became opportunities to visit one great brewery after another. After visiting more than 100 breweries of different sizes and styles, Hong Han decided to give up his life in the corporate world to share the rich and diverse flavours he experienced with his community back home in Singapore.
In early 2018, Hong Han and his wife returned to Singapore to build their dream brewery from scratch. With the unwavering support from family, friends and the community, Pink Blossoms Brewing poured their first pint to the public a few months ago.
All patrons of Pink Blossoms Brewing are welcomed to BYOF(ood) to their tasting room and have them with their beers. Their beer menu changes form time to time. Do visit them at their tasting room to check out their latest beers.

Alluding to the state of emptiness, Almost Famous at Chijmes was conceived to be a space to provide clarity to the experience. Adding nothing to influence and taking nothing away to distract from the emphasis of the subjects within the space. They wanted to push the boundaries of what defines how a craft beer bar should be.
Conceptualised with minimalism in mind, Almost Famous was designed to be an environment devoid of unnecessary aesthetics. Every detail from the design of furniture, tableware, menu board, and even the coasters was selected with careful restraint, to achieve simplicity in form and function. A concept that was further enhanced by the choice of basic shapes and monochromatic palettes in the overall aesthetics of the interiors.
They wanted this objectivity to be translated into nothing short of a memorable experience with the emphasis on the people, the food and the beers.

General manager Karl Higgins and group executive chef Shannon Binnie, both of them proteges of Celebrity Chef-Restaurateur Luke Mangan, proudly take the helm of The Botanic.
Mangan’s departure from the Salt brand facilitates a platform for the Chef to revolutionise new experiences as he creates innovative dish combinations that draw inspiration from his own cultures and past culinary experiences. The move to The Botanic’s will see Karl continuing in a hands-on operational role, but also working to develop and enhance the customer experience further.

Mythz & Myths' menu will be mainly focused on French cuisine, incorporated with a touch of Asian. Being very particular about his ingredients used in his cooking, Chef Martin will work to refresh his menu once every 3 months, with seasonal produce – locally and non-locally.
Chef Martin aims to bring out a different dining experience to guests. Rather than casual dining, and fine dining, Chef Martin calls it a ‘Dinner Party’. Where there will be much more interactions with guests and for the team to cook right in front of the guests.
“My food will be the culmination of every element in the restaurant, from the carefully selected ingredients to the structure in each dish, the china & the customer experience - all weaved into a definitive culinary finesse bringing forth myriads of tantalizing joys to even the most notorious taste buds” - Martin Wong, Founding Chef of Mythz & Myths

Adventure awaits within the vintage art deco exterior of The Vagabond Club. Each room within the luxurious hotel is an oasis of comfort and calm bathed in natural light, bearing the touch of the genius French designer Jacques Garcia, executed in his renowned over-the-top, maximalist panache with Parisian-chic flair.
With the unique Membership Programme, guests who sign up will enjoy 10-room nights at The Vagabond Club (fully transferrable) as part of the S$3,000 annual membership fee.

Members will also have privileged access to 80 lockers, each with its own gilded and tasselled key, evocative of a bygone era of old world charm and hospitality, kept on-site in a specially designed wood-crafted armoire placed in a private space at The Vagabond Club’s salon.
Each locker will store up to 15 bottles of whiskey. Members can bring one of their own bottles for every two bottles purchased at The Whiskey Library. Members will also enjoy special bottle pricing, access to the Vagabond Club gym and reserved seating at regular Whiskey Club events and experiences.
Each bottle at The Whiskey Library has been carefully collected from the finest distilleries from Scotland, Ireland, Japan, the US and other countries around the globe, with the collection comprising predominantly single cask and limited-edition bottles. Just as with a great literary work, each bottle is a unique work of art that stirs the imagination, beguiles the mind and excites the spirit.

The creator behind The Whiskey Library is luxury hotelier Satinder Garcha. Motivated by his love and passion for artistry, Garcha has spent two years bringing his dream to realisation.
Designed for what Garcha calls “a club for vagabonds seeking a unique and hidden experience”, the warm and beautifully appointed Whiskey Library hosts up to 75 guests who, while relaxing and enjoying their whiskies, will be entertained with bespoke experiences such as specially curated sung and told Jazz stories, intimate theatre, book readings, artist evenings, musical showcases, and even independent film premieres. Guests will also be able to enjoy delightful small bites prepared by the Chef de cuisine at The Vagabond Club.
In keeping with the theme of artistry and luxury, the vitrines housing the whiskey collection and other crafted white spirits were designed and hand-crafted by local woodsman Mr Ng – one of the few remaining craftsmen in Singapore who continues to create unique furniture pieces. Designed to enhance the decadent elements of the hotel surrounds, the armoires feature brass claw feet to complement the similarly brass Allahbuksh-designed Rhino reception desk.
Akin to the Allahbuksh family from Rajasthan who crafted the enchanting Banyan Trees at The Vagabond Club, Mr Ng has contributed much to the artistry ambience in Garcha’s hotel portfolio.
Bespoke elements such as artisanal ice and an international selection of the finest of cigars, together with the extensive collection of whiskeys, bourbons, and other crafted spirits bring a truly complete and unique experience to guests of The Whiskey Library.

Pandora’s Garden, a newly-opened rooftop garden bar located at the courtyard of Ann Siang House is dedicated to serving rosé wines. Housing the most comprehensive collection of rosé wines in Singapore, it hopes to precipitate the rising popularity of this sophisticated yet often misunderstood pink style of wine.
Drinking pink has never been so trendy till recently. According to research company Nielsen on wine trends of 2018, consumers are adding rosé to their wine carts as an addition to other wine varieties. With increased production from France, Spain, Italy and the US, there’s never been a better time to try this exciting and tantalising wine.
Contrary to popular belief, rosé is NOT made blending red and white wine. There are several ways in which rose is made and that is not one of them. The most common rosé production method is the maceration of red grape varieties, skin still intact for between 12-24 hours to achieve the blush colour it is known for.
Rosé rules at Pandora’s Garden. Jamie and Jasmine Gripton, husband and wife team owners of Pandora’s Garden and also Brightside on Duxton Hill, has procured a sizeable collection of rosé wines that include Whispering Angel’s L’Esclans Gamus (SGD$535/bottle) named “The Greatest Rosé” ever by James Suckling, one of the world’s most influential wine critic. Ultra rare rosé champagnes such as Louis Roederer Cristal Rosé and 2007 Krug Rosé are available at $1,888 and $888 respectively. A regular glass of rosé starts at $12 per glass or $41 per bottle, magnum (1.5L) and jeroboam (3L) sized formats are also available at an affordable price.

Pandora’s Garden is a hidden gem designed around an ancient Frangipani tree with roots that run deep under Ann Siang House. When night falls, a retractable roof opens up like a box and twinkling fairy lights are turned on to create a magical effect that inspired the name Pandora’s Garden.
Whilst rosé is its main offering with over 35 different selections, specially brewed Pandora’s Craft Ale, in partnership with local brewing company Trouble Brewing, is available on tap and freshly made goblets of Tanqueray botanical gin cocktail offer a spirits alternative. Bar snacks at Pandora’s Garden are specially made to pair well with the drink offerings, expect picnic style food such as cured meats, premium cheeses, British pork pies, homemade Jägermeister paté and a Ploughman’s board, served with artisanal bread, crackers, chutney, fruit and nuts.
Look out for the weekly Blush Ladies Night on Wednesdays in which Bach Rosé, Anna Sparkling Rosé, Aperol Spritz, Pimms and Sangria flow freely for $30+ from 6pm-8pm.

The 1872 Clipper Tea Co. at ION Orchard has a new look! Go experience their new tea bar and revamped menu.
The new and improved version of their tea bar at their flagship ION Orchard store is now open and the store includes a dining area so that their customers can enjoy freshly brewed specialty tea and sweet treats in the outlet.

In 1872, a young man named Balage Porolis de Silva embarked on a journey into the world of luxury. He set up a jewellery boutique along High Street, Singapore, presenting not only the finest gems, but also serving the best Ceylon tea to his customers. Hailing from Sri Lanka where having tea is a daily ritual for relaxation and enjoyment, he wanted to enhance his customers’ appreciation of jewellery with tea.
Gradually, the B.P. de Silva brand name grew in reputation and became synonymous with artistry and craftsmanship. The family continues to extend the very same values and philosophy of fine jewellery into tea, elevating tea beyond a simple beverage to a premium gift. This led to the creation of The 1872 Clipper Tea Co., whose name pays tribute to the historic Clipper ships that raced to carry chests of the freshest teas to all corners of the world, at the same time acknowledging the year they planted their roots in Singapore.
Today, The 1872 Clipper Tea blends are widely appreciated for its consistency in quality, signature aroma and refined taste.

The historic Long Bar of Raffles Hotel returns fully restored and continues its proud tradition as the Home of the Singapore Sling.
The famous counter shines like new amidst decor that marries architecture and contemporary plantation-inspired motifs. Long Bar was located at Cad’s Alley in the early 1900s. At a time when improved rail and road systems brought rubber and palm oil plantation owners over to Singapore from Malaya every weekend, it was known as the ‘Rendezvous of Planters’. Not a formal bar, but rather tables placed next to another facing Bras Basah Road, it was a vantage point from which male visitors surveyed the procession of ladies.
The earthy decor of the two-storey Long Bar is inspired by Malayan life in the 1920s. The deep, rich colours and lush greenery transport patrons to the edge of a tropical plantation. In keeping with the relaxed atmosphere, guests are invited to brush peanut shells off the table and bar counter to the floor. This is quite possibly the only place in Singapore where littering is encouraged!
The Singapore Sling, widely regarded as the national drink, was first created in 1915 by Raffles bartender Ngiam Tong Boon. Primarily a gin-based cocktail, the Singapore Sling also contains pineapple juice, lime juice, curaçao and Bénédictine. Giving it the pretty pink hue are grenadine and cherry liqueur. Bartender Ngiam deliberately chose to give the cocktail this rosy colour.
Swing by the newly-reopened Long Bar for your glass of Singapore Sling today.

The revamped Sustainable Singapore Gallery at Marina Barrage presents an overview of Singapore’s commitment to sustainable development. While there are exhibits that chart the milestones which brought about the high quality living environment Singaporeans enjoy today, the focus in many parts of the Gallery is on the challenges ahead and the steps people in Singapore need to take together as a nation to keep the country smart and green.
The Gallery is organised into six zones, tracing Singapore’s response to climate change, our water management strategies, zero waste initiatives and efforts to keep Singapore clean, green and sustainable, including investments in renewable energy.

The interactive panels and multi-sensory exhibits will appeal to the young and old. There are also interesting artefacts such as a porcelain figurine presented to Dutch economist Dr Albert Winsemius in 1993 after he famously lost a wager, with Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew and his team, that the Singapore River could not sustain life.

The NCO Club is the quintessential entertainment-lifestyle destination in Singapore, a cultural enclave that is modern yet traditional. The storied establishment houses four eclectic culinary concepts: Cool Cats, Fish Pool, Madame Fan and Stags' Room.
The NCO Club (known previously as the NAAFI Britannia Club) served as a vital social amenity for non-commissioned officers and their families since 1952. Gazetted alongside Blocks 1, 9 and 14 of the Beach Road Camp for conservation by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), it was one of the first modern architectural heritage buildings to be conserved in Singapore.
The NCO Club is a building that has been synonymous with the spirit of patriotism and nascent nationalism in Singapore bearing great historical, social and political significance as a place where generations of military servicemen congregated and interacted in an egalitarian, multi- ethnic setting. This was a significant milestone in Singapore’s colonial history.
Together, the four conservation buildings form a unique enclave that embodies different eras in Singapore’s history, expressed through their varied architecture. Like the conserved pre-war Tiong Bahru estate, Blocks 1, 9 and 14 reflect early Modernism with inflections of the Art Deco style. On the other hand, the NCO Club is characteristic of the more austere post-war Modernism and is one of the rare intact examples of modernist architectural heritage in Singapore. They are also representative of a milestone in Singapore’s conservation history where the buildings are neither part of a historic shop house district, nor individual monuments, but a cluster of historically and functionally-related institutional buildings.

At SHAO on Frankel Avenue, they have created a unique menu, centring around the theme of roasts and barbeques.
SHAO’s Signature BBQ Crab has its roots in the traditional Teochew Cold Crab. From the traditional recipe, they infused tastes and eating styles from different cultures and after many iterations, the BBQ Crab was born.
Their BBQ crabs are seasoned with sea salt, crushed black pepper and our signature BBQ sauce. This guarantees that their crabs retain that fresh, juicy and natural taste. Eat it as it is or with their special homemade chili sauce, wasabi sauce or salt & pepper dip.

Go Big or Go Home – and that’s exactly what the trio founders of Monte Carlo Boys bar & restaurant did!
Exposed to Monaco’s lavish lifestyle at a very tender age, William, Anthony and Julien brought their game right to the heart of the Central Business District. Being the first Monaco establishment to set foot in Singapore, owners and notorious high school buddies Julien, William and Anthony expands their empire with its rustic metal and wooden fixtures, that enhances the captivating industrial-chic lounge located at the fringe of Club Street, so fret not Instagram enthusiasts.

The Monte Carlo Boys aim to socially share their homeland’s authentic flavours and vibes with their first international venture, while glorifying their own personal life motto – “Life’s too short to drink bad beers and liquors” – and to do exactly that, they have graciously brought in their very own cultivation of luxurious and full-bodied beer. Trust in the Monte Carlo Boys when they say you’ll never have another experience that pays homage with Monegasque dining delicacies infused with heritage and passed down tradition elsewhere.
Ambitious and artistic, Anthony Oscar Orengo prides upon his first café that rose to unexpected success. Not only did Emilie’s Cookies & Coffeeshop clinched Monaco’s best briefly in 5 years, the 29-year-old DJ has hosted many, not if the biggest parties ‘til date back at base. “We believe that people’s love of food and beer always brings the best of people together, and that has always been the underlying motivation for us. We chose Singapore because the lifestyle people celebrate here is very similar to Monaco’s scene. All three of us have explored the different continents around the globe and found that Singapore’s where we feel most at home.”
Thus explaining the décor that will transcend you into realms of the French Riviera, so do keep your glasses raised and hands up high as we anticipate eclectic sounds of Deep House, new-age Hip-Hop and unforgettable old school R&B classics, whilst enjoying unique spirits from their region.

Picotin Express first came to life in 2007 at the old stables of the Turf Club Road. From the French word for a ration of horse feeds, the name “Picotin” has been promptly adopted. Presently, the family-friendly European bistro is opening its second outlet in the East region of Singapore. Indeed, Picotin Express has given a refreshing scenery to a heritage site previously hosting Hogs Bar and Restaurant. Bearing in mind the rustic roots of its birthplace of success, Picotin Express at East Coast endorses an invaluable part of Singapore’s history by featuring distinctive colonial architecture. In fact, it inherits the breath-taking sight of one of the estimated 500 remaining Black and White Houses in Singapore.
Built by the British during the 19th century, the Black and White Houses were once home to top-ranking government officials, high court judges and plantations owners. Nowadays, these houses serve as restaurants merely in Dempsey Hill and Rochester Park. Accordingly, Picotin Express East Coast is honoured to be the only bistro in the East region of Singapore offering a unique experience of the colonial era with its unrivalled architecture combined with a burst of European savours. Moreover, Picotin Express East Coast heartens pétanque tournaments, in line with its French origins, as well as other exciting activities such as mini football and snooker.
Old friends of Picotin Express will be pleased to reunite in the East once again with classics that have greatly been missed. Particularly, fresh handmade pizzas named after horse breeds including the Pinto Pizza and other magnificent dishes such as the Whole Roasted Spring Chicken and the Pico Burger. While retaining the same menu, the second outlet will see an exciting addition of breakfast dishes every day starting from June onwards.
Diners who are looking for a space to host a romantic dinner, birthday party, corporate retreat, engagement parties or weddings are from this day forward able to discover the memories and flavours of the colonial era at Picotin Express East Coast.
Picotin Express East Coast will be looking forward to welcoming new diners as well as old friends of its birthplace soon!

Another highlight is the modernised Croque Madame, prepared with house made brioche, hand carved ham, spiced béchamel and a fried egg – the Chef’s personal favourite inspired by his time in France. For small bites, diners can look out for the signature Spinach & Kale Croquettes, Nickeldime’s staple Mac & Cheese and authentically delicious Scotch Eggs.

By establishing exclusive relationships with breweries around the world, the Nickeldime team is able to continuously update its offering with the latest, unique finds and share the insightful story behind each beer. Claypots Full Circle - Fresh plates of whole fish, squid, mussels, oysters, octopus... and a lineup of delightful meze to share. A melding of Mediterranean and Asian flavours. A bar that beckons. A meeting place for all.
The first Claypots restaurant came into existence on Barkly Street, in Melbourne, Australia, in the 90s. An unassuming little establishment that served primarily claypots and fresh seafood plates in its anterior days, it has evolved into a brand of restaurants well-loved by locals and tourists for exceptional seafood dishes and lively vibes.
A self-taught Mediterranean chef and Claypots’ founder, Renan Goskin, was inspired by South-east Asian cuisine in his many travels. In particular, Singapore had always felt like a place he could call home.
A couple of university students fell in love with the seafood joint. When they came home to Singapore, many years later, they sought to bring Claypots to Singapore.
Full Circle is a collaboration between the seasoned restaurant family and their ardent Singaporean supporters.

At the corner of Telok Ayer Street and Cross Street, you will find Bakery & Bar.
Bakery, cafe and bar all-in-one, serving freshly baked bread, rustic favourites and tapas from around the world, house blend coffees, salads and smoothies by day, turning into a bar and ‘Gin & Fizz club’ every evening.
On the 4th Aug 2011, the people behind Bakery & Bar baked their first batches of muffins on the ground floor of a little yellow shophouse at 112 Telok Ayer Street, that they aptly named the Muffinry. After 6 years in business and with a loyal clientele enjoying their baked treats but requesting a bit more, they decided to expand they offerings...
... and so at the end of 2017 they re-branded as Bakery & Bar.
Today, in addition to their extensive range of sweet treats – muffins, tarts, cakes, scones, homemade granola and cookies, they offer savoury breakfast, lunch and dinner items – pies, quiches, salads, sandwiches, cold cuts and delicious desserts. All their products, including the Turkish pide (flat bread) they serve they sandwiches on, are proudly baked from scratch on-site to their own unique recipes. Their bakery also offers a growing range of loaves to take away – baguettes, pide, rye bread, sourdough, and more.
Their drinks menu, which has always featured signature blend teas, coffees and smoothies, now also includes wines from Marlborough region (NZ), prosecco from Veneto region (Italy), gins from around the world, and a range of award-winning European and Asian craft beers to take you into the night.
And don’t be fooled by the narrow ground floor that’s typical to Telok Ayer Street’s shophouses... they have 50 more seats upstairs! Their second and mezzanine floors offer a welcome hideaway amidst the bustle of the CBD. This space – which regularly hosts corporate events and private parties – is cheerful and filled with natural light by day, transforming to a more mellow, chilled vibe as the sun sets – the perfect spot to unwind and swap stories of the day before heading home.

The Glass Onion is named following an old Beatles song. The song was written by John Lennon and it is his answer to those who looked for hidden meanings in The Beatles music. Fully aware of the power of The Beatles own mythology and with a knowledge of the public at the time over-interpreting his work - the meaning of the song was simple: Dont Over Analyse.
The Glass Onion takes that same approach with its food. Simple dishes that taste great by using fresh and great quality produce to tingle your senses.
