Vicky Lee Ward, Director of All That Jazz Dance Academy, started the academy out of her desire to share her deep passion for dance with others. She wanted to provide a safe and loving space, where students can learn dance and feel at home in the studios. To Vicky, dance is not just a super fun activity, but also one that can transform lives by building character, discipline and confidence.

The academy has grown significantly with students ranging from two-year-olds to adults, all united by their love for dance. The decision to open a second studio was made as it was getting pretty full at its Forum location. The space at 10 Winstedt Road was chosen due to several reasons – the spacious studios, the lush surrounding greenery, the cozy feeling of the community at Winstedt and the convenience of the location as it is close to Newton MRT station.
Compared to the Forum branch, the new studio at Winstedt Road boasts larger studio spaces. The comfortable waiting lounge is also much bigger, and there are a lot of new classes offered at Winstedt.

With their recent expansion, All That Jazz Dance Academy hopes to continue to inspire more dance students with positive experiences in its studios, with the teachers and staff members. Ultimately, All That Jazz plans to collaborate with more dance institutions and the entertainment industry to provide their students with more opportunities to pursue dance at a professional level.
New students of the academy can enjoy a free trial class at its new Winstedt Road studio. For more information and to sign up, visit here.

Co-founders and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belts Zoro Moreira and Bruno Amorim envisioned a place where anybody, no matter their age or fitness level, could reach their fitness goals in a fun and interesting way. They believed strongly in Martial Arts being the medium to helping people – whether they were looking to shed a few pounds, learn a new sport in their later years, or even train at a competitive level. Zoro and Bruno came together and designed special martial arts programs to suit different ages and lifestyles – soon after, FaMA was born!

According to a study completed by NASA, a 10 minute jump on a trampoline is equivalent to a 30 minute run. This means trampolining is 68% more effective than running and provides equal benefits in a shorter timeframe.

Physical benefits are various and they include a very efficient cardiovascular workout which provides an increased heart rate and an important workout for the heart. Jumping on a trampoline strengthens the muscles of the feet and all the muscles up to the stomach muscles. These two health benefits combine for a powerful mixture that is very efficient in losing weight. Strengthening of the muscles increases the metabolism and speeds up the burning of fat, while the cardiovascular workout helps in burning calories much faster and more efficiently. The muscles also get more flexible by constant motion of jumping on a trampoline.
