Pink Blossoms Brewing is a newly-launched microbrewery and tasting room concept in Ubi.
They have created 2 special flagship brews. “Lean on Me”, is a dry-hopped and citrusy New England Pale Ale; and “Hundred Years”, a smooth, light milk stout with distinct chocolate aromas.
Big adventures have simple beginnings. For Pink Blossoms Brewing, it started with one man's dream to share the delicious flavours he tasted in his beer pilgrimages with his community.
An accountant and tax advisor by training, Pink Blossoms Brewing's founder Hong Han could never imagine that he will someday become a brewer. Work brought him to the US where he became mesmerised by the diversity and creativity of the American craft beer industry. It was love at first sip. Weekends became opportunities to visit one great brewery after another. After visiting more than 100 breweries of different sizes and styles, Hong Han decided to give up his life in the corporate world to share the rich and diverse flavours he experienced with his community back home in Singapore.
In early 2018, Hong Han and his wife returned to Singapore to build their dream brewery from scratch. With the unwavering support from family, friends and the community, Pink Blossoms Brewing poured their first pint to the public a few months ago.
All patrons of Pink Blossoms Brewing are welcomed to BYOF(ood) to their tasting room and have them with their beers. Their beer menu changes form time to time. Do visit them at their tasting room to check out their latest beers.
Alluding to the state of emptiness, Almost Famous at Chijmes was conceived to be a space to provide clarity to the experience. Adding nothing to influence and taking nothing away to distract from the emphasis of the subjects within the space. They wanted to push the boundaries of what defines how a craft beer bar should be.
Conceptualised with minimalism in mind, Almost Famous was designed to be an environment devoid of unnecessary aesthetics. Every detail from the design of furniture, tableware, menu board, and even the coasters was selected with careful restraint, to achieve simplicity in form and function. A concept that was further enhanced by the choice of basic shapes and monochromatic palettes in the overall aesthetics of the interiors.
They wanted this objectivity to be translated into nothing short of a memorable experience with the emphasis on the people, the food and the beers.
Almost Famous offer a selection of 16 beers on tap from popular breweries locally and beyond. Their curation of beers aims to introduce a wider selection of session-able craft beers as a gateway for regular beer drinkers to appreciate specialty beers and the unique characteristics of beers from small-batch breweries. Complemented by a smaller selection of premium craft beers with more robust flavours, from rich stouts, hoppy IPAs to seasonal limited edition brews.
Their rotational taps include beers from some of these craft breweries:
Brewlander & Co. (Singapore)
Pasteur Street Brewing Company (Vietnam)
Young Master Brewery å°‘çˆºå•¤é…’å» (Hong Kong)
Pirate Life Brewing (Australia)
Stone & Wood Brewing Co. (Australia)
Heretic Brewing Company (USA)

Brez’n is the Lion City’s most recently opened restaurant serving up pure Bavarian classics and favorites. The restaurant’s name is inspired by the Bavarian word for Pretzel – the typical Bavarian sourdough bread, oven- baked to perfection and enjoyed best with a freshly poured bavarian beer.
From the same operators as ERWIN’S Gastrobar, LeVeL33, Kaiserhaus and Paulaner Brauhaus Guangzhou, and from the original founding team of Brotzeit, Brez’n is a haven for pure Bavarian warmth, honest and traditional recipes, and most importantly, the best Bavarian beer selection in town.
Former Executive Chef of Brotzeit, Dominik Österreicher, helms the Brez’n kitchen and promises to serve only the tastiest and most authentic Bavarian staples.
With centuries of beer-brewing skill, the world’s first and finest breweries are almost certainly from Bavaria and Brez’n will proudly be serving up beers from Bavaria’s leading breweries. There are seven beers on tap including Germany’s most popular Weissbier, Paulaner.
Hacker Pschorr, with origins dating back 1417 from Munich and Fürstenberg, which was first brewed in 1283 in the forested mountain range of Black Forest will also be on the beverage menu. Seasonal specials like the classic Paulaner Oktoberfest bier will be available on a rotating basis.
At Brez’n, diners can now take a bite into Singapore’s first Bavarian pretzel sandwiches. Instead of the traditional sliced bread, the sandwich is composed of a soft, inviting Bavarian pretzel, or Brez’n. Diners can choose from four delicious pretzel sandwich options. For example, the hearty oven-baked Brez’n roll with succulent slices of meatloaf, topped with sauerkraut, pickles, honey mustard sauce, and a side of thick cut fries. For a lighter option, Chef Dominik suggests the honey-glazed ham Brez’n sandwich with Emmental cheese, pickles, tomatoes, crisp greens, and Bavarian sweet mustard.
The menu, with Chef Dominik’s culinary stewardship, is packed with classic Bavarian favorites. The delicious crispy pork knuckle, or Schweinshax’n, served with braised white cabbage, roasted potatoes and dark lager beer sauce, is one of the signature dishes and an absolute must-try. Chef Dominik infuses the pork knuckles with home- made brine before roasting. This gives the meat a unique pink colour, but most importantly makes it juicier, more tender and flavourful.
The main dining area, with its series of rustic furniture resembles contemporary restaurants found in urban Munich and is instantly welcoming. Diners can perch on a stool for a pint of chilled beer from one of the many leading Bavarian breweries such as Paulaner, indulge in a scrumptious meal at the smaller tables, or sit at the long workbenches for larger group gatherings. Adding a splash of color with pastel green furnishings, Brez’n reinforces a cozy, warm atmosphere with its mix of chairs and comfortable outdoor beer benches.

Alchemist Beer Lab is the first beer infusion bar in Asia to house a grand total of 16 sleek and state-of-the-art towers.
While infusing beer is by no means a new process to beer makers, the beer infusion tower at Alchemist Beer Lab is a progressive and cutting edge system that allows brewers to introduce any type of ingredients into their infusions with optimal flavour extraction and fresh results. At Alchemist Beer Lab, two kinds of systems from Poland and the United States of America are used; one holding up to one-litre of beverage, and the other with a capacity of three-litres.
Conceived by the same team behind microbrewery-pub Little Island Brewing Co. located at Changi Village, Alchemist Beer Lab features a proud display of 16 visually stunning and technically advanced beerinfusion towers to offer a wide variety of infused beers. The draft beers used to infuse flavours into will all be methodically brewed at Little Island Brewing Co. by Brew Master of Little Island Brewing Co. and The Alchemist Bar, Steve Spinney, notable expert on beer in Asia and winner of three consecutive Gold Awards at the Asian Beer Competition for his “Storm Beer” creation.
Drawing inspiration from its namesake, Alchemist Beer Lab turns the ordinary into the extraordinary. Designed by architectural firm Akira Kita Architecture, also the team behind the design concepts of Esquina and Luke’s Oyster Bar & Chop House, Alchemist Beer Lab’s interior is decorated in a sleek and muted colour palette of grey, gold and black marble, and accented with wood elements to emulate an experience of the medieval times.
The kitchen is helmed by Executive Chef, John Edwards, who has thoughtfully conceived a Modern-European tapas-style menu to accompany the extensive array of drink options.

Having been recognized for its culinary repertoire since appearing on the local gastronomic scene in 2000, Senso is adding in new flavour to the Club Street bar scene with The S bar.
The 30-seater bar immortalizes the crucial period in Italy that gave way to the La Dolce Vita era, “the sweet life”, between the 1950s to 1960s – a space created for the folks in the current 21st century to witness and pay homage to the strong tradition of Italian society.
Capturing the timeless glamour of Italy, The S bar preserves the personalities that rendered the fifties a period of great charm by using the nostalgic monochrome palette across the space. Walls adorned in fine Ostrich upholstery with antique black mirrors ostensibly evoke one’s wistful affection for the period of the past. Coupled with a lively mix of vibrant red sofas, the entire bar portrays the diametric contrast between the old rural way of life and the new modernising Italy during the period.
Guests can relish the taste of the classic or handcrafted cocktails to artisanal spirits. Available in the menu are meticulously crafted cocktails inspired by the walks of life in Italy. The classic Aperol Spritz, with its Aperol and Prosecco over ice and a splash of Club Soda in perfect proportions, is an essential Italian ritual for warm Summer afternoons. Negroni is another classic with Campari as its base where the aperitif’s bitter yet fruity characteristic is mixed well with Gin and Martini Rosso. Romantico, on the other hand, is an exceptional adulteration to the pristine smooth Belvedere Vodka mixed with Lime Cordial, Peach purée and Cranberry juice offering a calming sensation amidst vague sweetness in every sip with its Thyme finish.
Accompanied by gourmet bar bites, guests can expect a tease of taste buds with The S bar’s La Plachetta Platter lining up delectable cold cuts such as Salami, Mortadella and Bresaola with mature Cheeses from Fontina and Taleggio to Truffled Robiola among others. Fresh Oysters of Normandy are also available to tingle your palette for more wines and cocktails. Where most wine lovers agree that the vocabulary of oyster flavours overlaps with that of wine: “crisp,” “buttery,” and “flinty”, they can find both fine wines and fine oysters at one single place.

Chimichanga is Singapore's first Mexican dive bar! Authentic Mexican food and perfectly mixed twists on classic cocktails at the best price.
The narrow space certainly looks the part, a 50-seater space with tables made from old pontoon planks, distressed walls and a decor theme inspired by the Sonora Desert. Their menu offers a selection of your basic tacos and quesadillas, and other trashy-fun dive bar bites: jalapeno pops, fried potatoes and chipotle wings. They also do basic, potent cocktails with Mexican twists. There's the Bloody Mary-inspired Chimichanga, with lemon and cilantro flourishes, the tequila-based Paloma (grapefruit and lime) and, most excitingly, margaritas with mezcal instead of tequila.

Bar-Roque Bar is the bar concept located at the al fresco space outside Bar-Roque Grill restaurant.
Taking centrestage at the newly renovated bar is a collection of infused rhums crafted by Chef Stephane and his team. Having learnt the ways of infusing rhums from the natives during his years of working in the Carribbean, Stephane has taken to experimenting and developing his own recipes, inspired by flavours from Asia.
These rhums were initially offered as an after-dinner drink to regulars quickly gained a fast following, with guests buying their own jars of Rhum Arrangés.
Bar-Roque Bar boasts 6 choices of infused rhums. Named after Chef Stephane's inspirations, guests can sip through an array of flavours such as The Sing (pineapple, red chilli, vanilla), The Thai (mango, Buddha hand lemon, lemongrass), The Frenchie (Strawberries, Apple , vanilla, cinnamon), The Caribbean (coconut, banana, vanilla), Shanghai (lychee, mint and vanilla) and The Aussie (peach and vanilla). Located at Boat Quay and tastefully decorated with an original Taverna theme, Gyromania welcomes everybody for a sensational and palatable journey of Authentic Greek Cuisine.
Originally the Gyro consisted of various cuts of meat (primarily lamb & pork, sometimes boneless chicken and beef) skewered on horizontal rotisseries. One of the reasons this Greek version of fast food was so popular is because the freshness - as patrons ordered the Gyro, the new layer began to cook from the rotisserie effect. So each order was fresh and the meat did not begin to cook until the next order was peeled from the cone of meat. Souvlaki has become one of the more popular fast foods in Europe and is now becoming popular in Singapore.
Boat Quay’s newest addition isn’t the run-of-the-mill pub or sports bar. Skinny’s Lounge is a place to get solid cocktails that don’t break the bank; a venue for showing off those pipes without stepping into a regular KTV; and a post-party haven for kicking back with a bucket of beers and some comforting snacks before meandering home. Dreamed up by bartender Nick Haas, who worked alongside Joel Fraser and Christian Hartmann at The Cufflink Club and Vasco, Skinny’s embodies his desire for a refuge for those in search of great drinks in a fun and fuss-free environment.
Outfitted with dark wooden wall panels, as well as cork-lined walls and funky neon graffiti artist- painted windows, the grungy subterranean space comes complete with flashing disco lights, pool tables and a private karaoke room for up to 10 people. Open until 3am on weekdays and 4am on weekends, the casual and raucous riverside watering hole dishes out a slew of classic cocktails, beers and American-style bar snacks to rival the best in the city. Skinny’s is an alternative destination for cocktail fans, an ideal spot for laidback drinks that differ from the experience typical of this nightlife hotspot.
The straightforward menu comprises easy-drinking classic cocktails, large-format cocktail towers, craft and commercial American brews, and savoury bar snacks. For under $20, solid libations catering to myriad tastes are made by talented bartenders including Leo Chue, formerly of 28 HongKong Street. The menu’s Fast and Cheap options are geared towards those who want something quick. It has cocktails like the Paloma, a citrusy tequila-based drink topped off with soda, and the Americano, a balanced Campari and sweet vermouth cocktail.
There is also a wider range of classic creations with an option to Make It Nice, where cocktails are made with artisanal spirits at an additional $3. This includes the Caiprioska shaken with vodka, fresh lime juice and cane sugar, as well as the Daiquiri No. 1 (El Floridita Style), a Havana-style ice-blended drink with Cuban rum, Maraschino liqueur and fresh lime. Other refreshing cocktails include the Gin Basil Smash, a shaken drink with London dry gin, fresh basil and muddled lemon, as well as the citrusy El Diablo made with tequila and ginger beer, topped with a crème de cassis float. For those who prefer something fresh yet smoky, the menu also offers the Pencillin, shaken with blended Scotch whiskey, zingy ginger and an Islay mist.
Swap out jugs for large-format cocktail towers that serve eight to 12 people. Made with Pimm’s No. 1, cucumber, fruits and ginger ale, the classic Pimm’s Cup is supersized and presented in these self-serve towers. If beer is more your speed, the bar also has a list of commercial and craft American beers from the likes of Miller Genuine Draft and Brooklyn Lager to hoppy Kona Brewing Company bottles.
No drinking den is complete without bar bites. The succinct menu is full of comforting and booze- friendly savoury snacks. Pair drinks with a 9-inch ‘Murican Hotdog, steaming Philadelphia-style Jumbo Soft Pretzels and the quintessential chips and dip: Ruffles with Sour Cream and Onion Dip.
An ode to the classic American neighbourhood bar, Skinny’s Lounge is a no-holds-barred space a stone’s throw away from the thick of the Boat Quay action. In the city’s packed nightlife scene, it is an oasis for good company, unpretentious drinks, and a young and dynamic team of individuals who have cut their teeth at some of the city’s finest bars.
Drawing inspiration from the ancient concept of Kama which refers to the energy, desire and passion for life and the pursuit of the pleasure of the senses and aestheticism; Kama British Indian Company Kitchen & Bar is set to explode into the vibrant F&B scene with a buzz equal to its name. With over 20 years of experience in the F&B industry backing it, KAMA is forging ahead to wow the fussy local crowd with a brand new concept that promises to tantalise, reward and engage. Come May 2016, an authentic yet contemporary British Indian Kitchen & Bar will be born - KAMA British Indian Company Kitchen & Bar.
Located strategically along the North Canal Road, a stone’s throw away from the heart of the business district, cash-rich but time-poor executives can nestle and revel in this new gem in the F&B scene.
It was here that our forefathers carved out a living and helped shape the foundation of modern Singapore. It was also here that our British colonial governors paved the way socially and culturally, perfecting the art of working and playing hard. In effect, our English predecessors showed us how to maintain a good work-life balance even before the phrase was invented.
KAMA passionately leverages off our rich historical foundation and expertly blends it with a superior understanding of the highest standards of culinary excellence and execution. Tapping into a wealth of experience both in the kitchen and the floor, KAMA’s team will surprise even the most discerning patron with its superb level of service and food quality.
Occupying a space that boasts of 100 years of history is slightly daunting but a very welcome challenge for KAMA’s team. Drawing inspiration from the original owners who started a humble bird’s nest trading business into a globally leading brand, KAMA hopes to emulate its predecessor’s vision, passion and drive.
Spanning a total of 2,500 square feet of historically-fuelled space, the interior design is soaked with colonial European, West Indies and Eastern European influences – an eclectic mix that blends perfectly together through the vision of the design team headed by Alessandro Lo Giudice who has led and managed Architectural and Interior Design firms in Italy and Singapore in the Residential and Hospitality sector and in the recent years was involved in the interiors of prestigious projects in Asia, China and Africa. As partner and designer of a Boutique Design Firm whose spirit is to keep things focused and discerning, he has inspired the concept of recent successful restaurants and F&B outlets in Singapore.
Guests can expect to enjoy privately intimate yet vibrant experiences at KAMA where they can either choose to mingle with familiar faces or conduct discreet meetings at their discretion – KAMA’s discerning and professional team provide the appropriate level of service and approach.
The second floor space is where the customer experience evolves into a more loungy and relaxed ambience. Replete with a tasteful blend of European design with Eastern motifs, the space is perfect for corporate networking and social gatherings. Guests can always rely on KAMA to be the place where they can even visit on their own and know they will meet like-minded people and enjoy not only great food, drinks and service but also immaculate company.
Eschewing the typical notion of Indian cuisine where the heavy, carbo-filled and rich curried offerings are the norm, KAMA’s menu will borrow the best of West and East in order to pamper our guests with just the right amount of every gastronomic element to enhance their experience.
The spice level is easily controlled as all dishes and curries are cooked ala minute.
Imagine tapas style bites that delights the palate and fills the tummy just right in order to enjoy handcrafted cocktails and the finest selection of beers, wines and whiskies.
At the end of the day, KAMA is a place for discerning lunch and cocktail meetings, post-office gatherings, romantic dates, happy hour sessions amongst friends, launch events and indulgent weekend brunches that never ends.
Mikkeller Bar is the brainchild of Mikkel Borg Bjergsø - also known as the ‘cult’, ‘rock’n’roll’ and ‘gypsy’ brewer. Inventive and testing boundaries constantly, his brews and spirits often challenge traditional concepts of beers.
Soon hereafter Mikkel and his childhood friend Kristian Keller started a row of ‘physics experiments’ with malt, hops and yeast back home in their kitchens in Copenhagen. Inspired by the extreme hoppyness of micro brewed, stateside beer, they bought a few American books about brewing and started grinding malt in the basement of their apartment complex. Their first experiment was a clone of the Brøckhouse IPA , which they served at their beer club gatherings. Eventually the clone won a blind test in one of their tastings, and the success got the two friends hooked on the idea that others might enjoy the taste of their beer as well. Therefore they started making their own recipes and joined home brewing contests at the national Danish beer festival and took home several medals. The kitchen experiments lasted for two and a half year and simultaneously Mikkel and Keller started brewing beer at a larger scale at the Danish microbrewery Ørbæk. When another member of the beer club, Mikkel’s twin brother Jeppe, opened a beer shop in Copenhagen in the beginning of 2005, he started distributing Mikkeller’s beer to beer geeks and lovers around the world, and the rumours of Mikkeller’s kitchen experiments spread.
Boat Quay fixture Dallas Restaurant & Bar has opened a second outlet at Suntec City, and the place still offers diners hearty plates and a wide selection of accessible wines and beers.
While its flagship at Boat Quay is a semi-boudoir set up with ubiquitous starched table cloths and scarlet carpets, this CBD branch is a modern and trendy 162-seat space resembling a glass house overlooking the cityscape. The bar is a gleaming island, with back-lit bottles of spirits and a bare-bulb chandelier overhead. The food has none of that chi-chi vibe, however, as the restaurant sticks to honest-to-goodness grub.
Black Tongue Bistro & Cafe offers a breath of fresh air, serving Western European cuisine whilst sticking to its Asian roots.

It is not just a restaurant; but rather a crazy place where street food, cocktails and music meet to create a unique culinary experience, all with a touch of naughtiness.
Be sure to indulge in some lok lok sticks (dishes on skewers), dipped into your wide variety of aromatic broths. Mix and create your own unique dips from the open sauce bar or order some speciality dips created by Miss Lok, such as the salted egg yolk and Nam Tom dips. Check out the side dishes which are inspired by popular street hawkers fares found along the alleys of Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia and China.
Unwind over the selection of Asian craft beers or sip some sake shots with party friends or savour some freshly squeezed juices to detox before/after the big night out. If there’s still room, do order a MakPowPow, their take on the popular young coconut dessert commonly found along the streets of Thailand.
Montana focuses on providing wholesome food, quality coffee and genuine service focusing on the customer.
The new and revamped menu is something the kitchen team is proud to showcase, merging traditional flavours with creative twists - including a Assam Crab Waffle inspired by Chef’s hometown food of Kedah Laksa, and a Kuroi Black Velvet Waffles with a black sesame base that would remind many of wander-lusting in Japan.
Popular signatures such as the Red Velvet Stacked Waffles and Jalapeno Mac & Cheese Waffles are updated and taste even better now.

The food at Paper Crane is not so much defined by a cuisine but more by an intuitive and fun approach to food. Like the people behind this cosy bistro along Waterloo Street, the food is unpretentious, honest and hearty.
They cook the food we love to eat. Think hearty, robust flavours that take time to coax, homemade anything and unpretentious fare.
The menu is kept concise but there are always new offerings because they like to keep things fun for them, and interesting for their customers. Prices are affordable, with all-day deals.
However, regardless of the offering, it always reflects their obsession with taking their time to tease out flavours and making as much as they can from scratch.
In addition to checking out edgy art at Emily Hill's long-beloved Kult Gallery, you can now have a beer or a cocktail on the same leafy compound. Located in an old house, Kult Kafe oozes a laidback house party atmosphere with high ceilings, bare walls plastered with graffti art posters, tasteful antique furniture and a roomy dance floor that also doubles as a performance venue.
On the drinks front, there's a cocktail menu by Zac Mirza (of House of Dandy and Tapow fame). Try the Kult Julep featuring rum, kaffir lime leaf and gula melaka and the Mojito featuring coconut water, fresh berries, lime juice and rum. For a greater punch, try the Spirit-driven end of the menu - stuff like like Negroni, Boulvardier and 1794. Also on the menu are regular bar staples like gin, bourbon, whisky, rum and apertifs.
For special events (and you can expect many, as one of the partners is Tom Shellsuit of Sundays at the Training Shed fame), expect outdoor seating and staging, DJs and food done by Wings World and Black Boys Cubano, though we're told Kult Kafe will soon roll out its own bar food menu.
There's a new addition at the Oxwell & Co. family - this intimate rooftop bar on the fourth floor, which has with a panoramic view of the CBD.
The small yet cozy space here has an ultra laidback, Anglo-themed vibe with simple, rustic-looking furniture, a refurbished London telephone booth and an urban herb garden located right next to the space. The menu's designed exclusively with Hendrick’s Gin, featuring a namesake cocktail menu comprising botanical elements from the herb garden. They're still tweaking the cocktail menu at the moment, but you can expect solid gin and tonic offerings like Bathtime, a refreshing cucumber and thyme punch bowl concoction or the Clover Club Street, a rich, flavorful botanical cocktail.

Kontiki presents a casual waterfront dining experience overlooking the spectacular Kallang River and Marina Bay City skyline, uniquely tucked next to the iconic Benjamin Sheares Bridge. Dine with a laid-back casual chic and riverside vibe complemented by glorious views of the city skyline, elegant palm trees and lush wide-open lawns.
Among the attractions of this 120-seater restaurant is well thought-out American comfort food that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Signatures include smokey BBQ ribs, cheeseburger, flame-grilled steaks, mac & cheese and old-fashioned pecan pie. A bar that celebrates cocktail, beer and wine culture yet also offers a good old-fashioned milkshake. An intimate indoor dining room exhibiting intricate and eclectic details - hand-painted koi fishes on rough cement floor, hand-built maple wood canoe, torpedo air-ducts on ceiling and captivating cassette tape tables with the warmth of a fireplace permeating through plenty of wood charm. Canopy shaded and breezy patio for outdoor dining with views of Marina Bay skyline.
The folks that created Kontiki set out to deliver a great escape in the heart of the city yet providing a sense of adventure and simplicity that is far from the hustle and bustle of it all. Why Kontiki? As they’d say, a great story always has a strong incipit. Kontiki was an old legend of the sun king that made a bold and almost impossible journey on primitive log raft that spanned from the Americas to the Islands of the South Sea in the Pacific. Kontiki became a good king in the end and the tale of the sun king’s adventure passed on for generations. In our Kontiki, the key themes of an adventurous spirit and simplicity are portrayed through its intrepid interior in great comfort.
Kontiki is anchored at the splendid PAssion WaVe @ Marina Bay, the newest lifestyle centre at Marina Bay. As Handlebar’s little brother, Kontiki brings familiarity of the founders’ concept to those who knows, albeit with lesser hardcore vibe and more venturous spirit. A well-known outpost restaurant and bar in Sembawang next to the Straits of Johore, big brother Handlebar - the first biker bar in Singapore established since 1999 - has been known for its hardcore characteristics, where one can have a Suicide Mug of beer along with Slap-Yo-Moma Pork Chops and Sudden Death Wings in a bike-themed haven decked out with hand-built furniture and décor, not forgetting their famous motorized blended Margarita. On similarities of both being in far-out locations, lady boss Jan believes a core part of the business is providing a unique yet laid-back lifestyle and environment for everyone, as a form of escape from this metropolitan city.
Quintessentially, Kontiki is an easy place where you’d want to sit back and just enjoy yourself under the sky, with fresh breeze, sun-kissed water and great company.

Lin <æž—> has opened its doors to the public for the very first time. Located on the rooftop of Link Hotel at 50 Tiong Bahru Road, Lin <æž—> overlooks the vibrant coloured shop houses and shows a clear view of the sky. Housed in a 1960s-era building, the legacy of this building lives on and its old building charm preserved.
Lin <æž—>, short for “Shu-Lin”, which means 'forest' in Mandarin, is a contemporary Asian alfresco rooftop bar and specialises in authentic Asian-infused cocktails, premium whiskeys, international shooters and specially selected beers paired alongside with Asian bar snacks. Lin <æž—> prides itself on creating some of the most unique Asian cocktails such as Tom Yum Gong, Dragon's Gate, and 7th Beauty using Asian ingredients such as chili padi, lime infused plums, dragon fruit & chinese dates.
For guests seeking an up-close experience with the bartenders, a special menu is created whereby bartenders prepare special mixology cocktails in front of the guests. For guests who are undecided, they would just need to let the mixology bartenders know what flavours they feel like having or their preferences, and the bartenders would be able to create something customised just for them.
In line with its Asian themed interior, Terracotta Warriors are placed strategically at Lin <æž—>.
Other Asian elements such as Buddha heads and bamboo plants are fitted onto the planter box along both sides of the bar. The bamboo plant has a long history in ancient China, when it was used for almost everything such as bows, arrows and household items. Even the bar table legs are customised to resemble the bamboo silhouette.
However, the main feature of Lin <æž—> is its majestic golden entrance which guests will first take note of when they enter the premises.
At Lin <æž—>, there are covered areas for guests who prefer a slightly more private setting. For people who would like an al-fresco experience, there is an outdoor area that consists of hexagonal bar tables and fairy lights overhead. Alternatively, if some would like to have a chat with the bartenders, bar stools are placed in front of the bar for guests to enjoy a drink while chatting with the friendly bartenders.
For easy listening, Lin <æž—> plays a repertoire of top 40s, R&B, and classic chart hits.
