Following an ambitious rebranding exercise, homegrown Italian restaurant and bar operators The Cicheti Group has transformed the 1,500 sqft of prime F&B space along South Beach Tower’s retail piazza that previously housed popular modern Australian restaurant Fynn's into Caffe Cicheti. “We had such a good run with Fynn’s and made so many amazing friends along the way. On the other hand, we’ve established such a delicious goodwill with the Cicheti brand, and finally found our way with wines when we opened Bar Cicheti last year. We created Caffe Cicheti not to take away from what Fynn’s has built, but to continue building its legacy as part of the Cicheti family,” explained Ong, who first set up Fynn’s together with her cousin Aun in 2016, three years after they opened the first Cicheti.

A space became available in the relatively untapped but emerging nosh locale of Little India, especially with the much anticipated opening of the Rochor MRT Station.
The three foodies saw the potential for a landmark restaurant, firmed up the restaurant concept and exactly one month later, the new generation eatery, Roots Kitchen Bar, was born.
