It has also been designed to care for patients with complex medical conditions in a more integrated way with the 'Multi-Specialty Practices'. Through the MSPs, a patient is able to see two or more healthcare professionals in one appointment.
With the opening of this medical centre;, it advances the overall CGH Campus Vision, which is a concerted 'whole of hospital' approach to transform care based on patients' and the community's evolving needs.
The CGH Medical Centre features 136 consultation rooms for specialist outpatient care and minor surgery rooms that would take the load off operating theatres in the main hospital building.

The Home is envisaged to be an integrated service facility centre serving the needs of the elderly in the community, possibly working with other service providers, complementing the Home as a Sheltered Home.
This two-staged competition saw 52 entries, where seven were shortlisted. And Aamer Architects' serrated profile plan and well-thought-out design was selected as the winning entry.

Have limited or no financial resources making commercial residential Homes unaffordable.
It is estimated that the new building will cost $15 million. As at June 2018, they have $10 million in their reserve, after paying the Lease Renewal Premium for the land. They depend on the community to raise the remaining $5 million required in stages, as the building moves towards completion by December 2020.

When the new National Skin Centre (NSC) opens in 2022, more patients can look forward to seamless access to specialised dermatological care. The 10-storey building will increase its current clinic capacity, by 50% to 69 consultation rooms, to meet rising demand for outpatient services.
Currently, NSC sees over 80 per cent of the overall outpatient dermatology attendances in the public healthcare institutions.
The new NSC which will be located at the NSC’s current Novena site, will house a Day Treatment Centre which will bring together diagnostic, monitoring and treatment services at one location, making access to care by patients, especially the elderly or less ambulant patients, more convenient.

Timber battens cover the ceiling of skincare brand Aesop's newest store in Singapore, which architecture firm Snøhetta based on a nutmeg plantation that once occupied the site.
The new store is located on the basement level of the ION shopping centre just off Orchard Road, close to an area that was once used as a nutmeg plantation.
Inspired by the site's history, Snøhetta, the firm behind the recent SFMOMA extension, used a collection of materials, colours and forms to create what they call an "upside-down forest".
A dark sisal carpet references the orchard floor, while thin timber battens hanging from the ceiling suggest a series of tree trunks.
Walls are painted in a shade of pink intended to be reminiscent of the colour of mace, a spice harvested from the nutmeg fruit.
Materials used are often indigenous to the region, such as Kerstin Thompson Architects' perforated gum-wood details for a store in Melbourne, or make local cultural references, as in the case of a branch in Stockholm inspired by the work of Danish filmmaker Lars von Trier.
