Tarte by Cheryl Koh started their 1st retail shop at Shaw Centre in 2015. Enjoy artisanal tarts with seasonal ingredients sourced from around the world by Les Amis pastry chef Cheryl Koh, voted "Asia's Best Pastry Chef" 2016.
Their artisanal tarts and other confectioneries are baked from scratch every morning with only the best available ingredients sourced from around the world. Many of these ingredients are highly sought-after and rarely used in Singapore. At Tarte, a lot of time and effort is spent perfecting a seemingly simple tart and all tarts are made with a high level of technicality and finesse.
At Tarte, there is truly something for every occasion. Their lovely assortment of pastries are the perfect accompaniment for an intimate soirée or corporate event. From artisanal tarts to beautifully fashioned canapés, the team always has a little something to ensure the party ends on a sweet note.

Singapore Philatelic Museum (SPM) is re-opening as a children's museum!
Singapore Philatelic Museum will be closed for redevelopment to refresh the museum’ infrastructure, content and offerings to enhance the visitor experience for Singaporeans. This will be a major redevelopment since SPM’s opening in 1995. The museum will be closed to the public from 18 March 2019, and is expected to re-open to the public in 2021.
Dedicated to showcasing Singapore’s rich philatelic heritage, SPM uses stamps as windows to introduce Singapore’s heritage and culture, as well as our connections to the world. Located at 23B Coleman Street, the building that houses SPM was formerly part of the Anglo Chinese School, and later the Methodist Book Room. SPM was officially opened on 19 August 1995 as a project of the Telecommunication Authority of Singapore. Since 2000, the museum has been managed by National Heritage Board.
Redevelopment works at SPM will include essential infrastructural upgrades to the museum building, as well as a revamp of the permanent and changing galleries to improve visitor experience.
During its redevelopment, SPM will continue to engage the young through travelling exhibitions and education programmes at pre-schools, primary and secondary schools. It will also continue to organise signature events such as the annualNational Stamp Collecting Competition and Draw My Stamp Story Art Competition. Families can also visit A Little Magic roving exhibition at public libraries. Look out for updates and activities on the museum website www.spm.org.sg!

Be led by your nose as you enter the newly-opened Penhaligon store at Raffles City and allow one of their fragrance aficionados to assist you in discovering your new signature scent whilst picturing the fresh English countryside in your mind.
Founded in 1870 by William Penhaligon, the house encapsulates the English idea of a traditional heritage fragrance house with a dedication to create scented stories. From the original Hammam Bouquet in 1872 – created after the smell of the Turkish baths located next to his first boutique on Jermyn Street - to the latest creations like the Portraits collection in 2019, legacy with a twist is at the core of the history of the house. Each and every creation explores facets of high perfumery, challenging the traditions of the art and seeking new ways to interpret elegance. Truly English, Penhaligon’s is passionate about ingredients and still manufactures its scents in England using the finest rare ingredients. Penhaligon’s creations are now offered in own boutiques and selected distinguished stores across the world.
Penhaligon’s is honoured to hold two long-standing Royal Warrants; from HRH The Duke of Edinburgh (granted 1956) and from HRH The Prince of Wales (granted 1988).

Newly-opened at Basement 1 of Capitol Piazza, Carmen’s Best ice-cream uses 100% cow’s milk and cream. A not so known fact is that many commercial ice cream manufacturers do not actually use fresh milk or milk at all in their recipes which by default, doesn’t really make them ice cream to begin with. But Carmen’s Best makes homemade artisanal ice cream the old-fashioned way which means that there is no water, no additives, no mass-production and just pure craftsmanship and only the finest ingredients available to them from all over the globe. Now that sounds like ice cream. Now you can indulge yourself.

SunnyHills farmers follow the time-honoured tradition of farming naturally, cultivating without pesticides or genetic modification pineapples that are small in size but rich and intense in flavour. Twice a year, their earth pineapple crop ripens with the seasons; in spring the harvest is mellow and sweet, and by the turn of fall, the cool breeze infuses a piquancy to the yield. The full flavours of the seasons can be experienced as no additives are used, just the sensibilities of a baker refined in the gastronomy of natural ingredients.

A trailblazing takeaway concept by the dynamic team behind Omakase Burger and Picnic Food Park, Supergreek at Raffles City is a fast-casual eatery that aims to deliver the goodness and wholesome qualities of vibrant and delicious Greek cuisine in an affordable and accessible selection of thoughtfully- curated souvlaki grain bowls, pita wraps, and salads, designed for the modern palate and lifestyle.
Supergreek is also proud to make and serve its proprietary homemade authentic Greek yoghurt – possibly the first in Singapore, made daily through a process that spans 30 hours!
“Supergreek aims to obliterate the misconception that healthy, nutritious food is not just tasty, but incredibly tasty. Our goal is to provide nutrition-dense food that tastes so good that you will want to have it over and over again – three, four, maybe five times a week,” shares Cheng Hsin Yao, owner and founder of Supergreek.
With eight nourishing souvlaki grain bowls, customers can choose to enjoy these combinations within a traditional pita, or in a hearty salad. All grain bowls, salads and toasty pita wraps are assembled à la minute for maximum freshness.

Souvlaki (souv·la·ki·a) – the popular Greek street food of small pieces of meat or vegetables grilled on a skewer, is the highlight of Supergreek’s menu offerings. Supergreek’s modern spin on this Greek specialty consists of tender cuts of meat, fish and vegetarian options accentuated with quintessential herbs such as oregano and dill, as well as tomatoes, onions and Greek vinaigrette, then grilled, roasted, or steamed, but never fried.
“At Supergreek, we follow traditional Greek cuisine which is predominantly plant-based, and focused on lean meats, seafood and heart-healthy olive oil that is also fresh. Whether your diet is plant-based, keto, low carb, pescatarian, high-protein, or if you are just curious about eating better, we have some amazing options for you that will help you in your search for the holy grail of sustainable healthy eating: nutritious, delicious, affordable and repeatable.” Hsin Yao elaborates.

National Gallery Singapore was established in 2015 as a leading visual arts institution overseeing the world’s largest public collection of Singapore and Southeast Asian modern and contemporary art. Guided by its curatorial vision to present the art histories of Singapore and Southeast Asia; reflexively (re)write the art histories of Singapore and Southeast Asia; and examine these art histories in relation to the global history of art, the Gallery has developed a significant collection of artists’ archives and a reference library focusing on Singapore and Southeast Asian art.
The Gallery’s Rotunda, located at the heart of the UOB Southeast Asia Gallery (Level 3, Supreme Court Wing), is a site of historical importance. During the building’s former life as the Supreme Court of Singapore, the Rotunda served as the Law Library. Housed in this historical space, the Rotunda Library & Archive extends the memory of this site while serving a new function as a research hub for the study of art history in Southeast Asia.
The Rotunda Library & Archive aims to be a leading library housing one of the world’s most comprehensive collections of Singapore and Southeast Asian art-historical resources from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.
Their collection currently holds over 20,000 physical and digital items, including rare publications, exhibition catalogues, ephemera and digital archives, made possible through generous donations, publication exchanges with various art institutions in the region, and partnerships with the estates of Southeast Asian modern art pioneers, such as Georgette Chen and Lim Hak Tai (Singapore), S. Sudjojono (Indonesia) and Kalaw Ledesma Foundation (the Philippines).
Most archival acquisitions are conducted through loans or donations from the archives’ owners (artists, artists’ families, estates and art communities). The Library & Archive preserves the donated physical archives and digitises loaned archives.
A large selection of materials in their Library & Archive collection is searchable here (You will be redirected to their Collections Search Portal). Due to copyright restrictions and levels of permission from the archive owners, some items are only available for viewing onsite. You can view these items in the Collections Search Portal with our digital viewing facility at the Gallery’s Rotunda Library & Archive.

Savoir Beds has launched its first Southeast Asian boutique at the Raffles Arcade. Savoir make fewer than 1,000 luxury handcrafted beds a year because they’re focused on making the best, not the most.
With over 14 global showrooms, from London to New York, Paris to Shanghai, Savoir’s mission is to provide every customer with the most comfortable and stylish bed imaginable. From the required support to the style of the home, dimensions, materials and fabrics can all be personalised. Beds for superyachts, headboards inspired by architecture and bespoke prints; anything that can be imagined can be made.
The Savoir story began in The Savoy Hotel, when in 1905 impresario Richard D’Oyly Carte unveiled an establishment revered for it luxurious creature comforts and legendary services. With no bed meeting his pioneering luxury standards, D’Oyly Carte set about creating one. The result is still made today, Savoir N°2 (the Icon) and the spirit of its creation governs Savoir’s approach to every bed it creates.
Skilled craftsmen work intently at individual oak trestles; the tapping of tacks, material in motion and calm conversation between colleagues. These are the Savoir Bedworks in West London and Wales, the antithesis of a production line. There are no hulking machines, just craftsmen hand-making a bespoke bed from inception to completion. Every bed is bespoke, from custom comfort to design details, made and signed by one master craftsman for one customer.

Introducing Yanmi Yogurt's Chewy Purple-Rice Yogurt Drink, a nutritious and guilt-free alternative to Bubble Tea. The iconic yogurt drink with pearl-like purple-rice bits has taken China and Sydney by storm, with fans queuing up to five hours for it. You will be able to taste the same delicious beverage from their Singapore debut store at Funan from 26 October.
Yanmi Yogurt uses fresh yogurt made with Australian milk, and their purple rice is imported from Mojiang Hani Autonomous County (Mojiang). The milk are produced by cows that are raised on pollution-free grassland pastures. The purple rice from Mojiang is known for its premium quality — with strict selection of the grain, it is prepared through ten industrial steps, including continuous process of soaking, boiling, filtering and steaming under careful temperature manipulation (75 degrees) and time control for over five hours to create the perfect sweetness and chewiness. The rice bits are refreshing and add a nice crunch to the velvety drink. Touted as the king of rice, purple rice is rich in vitamin B1, vitamin B2, folic acid, protein and more.

The three founders of LDC, are New Revolving Age (NRA) alumni, a Hip Hop dance club from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. One of the most influential chefs in modern Chinese culinary movement, Celebrity MasterChef Jereme Leung makes his return to Singapore with contemporary Chinese restaurant, Yì by Jereme Leung at Raffles Hotel Singapore.
Nestled on the third level of the restored Raffles Arcade, Yì by Jereme Leung leverages on the art form of fine dining to awaken the appetite and the senses of guests. The restaurant delivers cuisine that takes guests on an exploration voyage to China’s vastly diverse cultural regions.
è— (Yì) means art in the Chinese language and the restaurant’s interior décor reflects this artistic flair. Designed by Aedas Interiors, Yì by Jereme Leung is a 111-seat restaurant whose design is inspired by the hidden world of deep-rooted culinary traditions and story-telling. Be greeted by a whimsical entrance created by Moss & Lam, an art installation entitled ‘Pale Garden’ which is 90 feet long and cascades across the restaurant’s entryway, decorated with 1,000 handcrafted and individually strung floral strands.
Inspired by the Chinese myth surrounding the god, Pangu which depicts the creation of Heaven and Earth, Yì by Jereme Leung uses neutral earthy materials and tones like stone and timber to embrace the main dining hall as a reflection of ‘Earth’ while the custom ceiling details references the elements of the ‘sky’. This is reflected as diners step into the main dining hall of the restaurant which seats over 60 persons.
Three private rooms are available at Yì by Jereme Leung with one room that seats 10 persons while the other two adjoining rooms fit 8 guests each. Diners who want to enjoy the ambience of the main dining hall but yet prefer more privacy will delight in the semi-private area that can accommodate two tables of 8 guests each.

Enjoy Chef Jereme’s creations like the Hundred-ring Cucumber & Poached Sea Whelk with Soy Sauce Vinaigrette – a classic dish found in China’s Northern region during warm summermonths. The dish is skilfully sliced with a hundred cuts forming a continuous spiral and served with poached sea whelk, finished off with a tangy and refreshing homemade vinaigrette.
Other delicacies at Yì by Jereme Leung include:
- Brined Duck Breast, Beef Tripe & Ox Tongue with Sichuan Chilli Dressing
- Golden Roasted Duck with Rose & Fermented Bean Sauce & Rainbow Pancakes
- Braised Beef Cheeks, Tendon & Oxtail with Sorghum Grains & Wine
- Fried Rice with Char Siew, Pork Belly & Pickled Long Beans
Chef Jereme Leung who was raised and educated in Singapore, began his culinary career at the age of 13, starting from the kitchens of Hong Kong. Throughout his career, he has mastered all four cornerstones of Chinese cooking ranging from dim-sum, Chinese barbecue, wok-cooking to knife work. Chef Jereme continued to hone his craft at some of the most prestigious hotels in Southeast Asia which gradually led him to embark on a food pilgrimage across China in the 1990s to explore the flavours of different regions, their ingredients and cooking techniques. He moved to Shanghai, China in 2002, and since then has opened over 9 restaurants across the world. Yì by Jereme Leung will be his first restaurant in Singapore and his long-awaited homecoming.

Fun fact: It was in 1945 when Dr Klaus Maertens, a 25-year-old soldier created a unique air-cushioned sole to convalesce his broken foot. The shoe then served as a prototype shoe that gave rise to Dr Martens signature shoes of today.
Dr Martens’ trademark yellow stitch, grooved sole and heel-loop were designed for durability, comfort and lightweight in comparison to its competitors at the time. Though initially intended to be boots for workers, postmen, and policemen. the design’s aesthetic appeal has gained popularity amongst people who have their own individual style but share a united spirit – authentic characters who stand for something. People who possess a proud sense of self- expression. People who are different.
Today, Dr Martens have outlets across the globe, expanding out of Europe to Asian countries such as Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.
So if you’re looking to find your own style and show the world what fashion is about, drop by Dr Martens’ outlet at the new Funan.

The restaurant is named after the Sala Chalermkrung Royal Theatre in Bangkok, first opened in 1933. The name was chosen as the Arcade @ The Capitol Kempinski is also home to a cinema icon of Singapore – the Capitol Theatre – drawing parallels between the city nation and the regal kingdom of Thailand. Like the Capitol Theatre, The Sala Chalermkutung Royal Theatre that was first built by King Prajadhipok as part of the celebrations in 1932 to mark the 150th anniversary of the founding of Bangkok, operated as a cinema in its early days before it is transformed into the centre of classical Thai dance it is today.
At Chalerm Thai, that storied past and colourful flavours are brought to life by Chef Roy Ng who has spent over 13 years training in the kitchens of Singapore’s best Thai restaurants. His dedication to his craft has seen him awarded the Thai Select award by the Royal Thai Embassy (Singapore) and is translated to the palate with must-haves like the Tomyamgoong, built with classics like Phad Thai Kung and culminates in a colourful end with sweet delights like Thai Trub Tim Krub.

Blue Ocean Art is an art concept that is focused on delivering investment grade art works from all around the world to their clients and investors. Visit their newly-opened Blue Ocean Fine Art Gallery at Marina Square to find a unique piece to start or add to your art collection.
Featured in the listing picture here is a piece from artist Liu Yujun 刘玉å›.
In Liu Yujun's painting series entitled Unidentified Liquid, he has created paintings of Chinese beautiful women. Liu Yujun carefully includes images of blue liquid in a various form in his works. The images of the blue liquid seems to be mysterious and ambiguous as it has no connection with the images of beautiful women. The blue liquid symbolises a sense of insecurity.

Here are the top 5 things you can do at the newly-opened CYC @ Capitol Piazza (besides tailoring):
1. Create a 3D customised outfit - Ever find it difficult to imagine what some fabric swatches would look like as a shirt? You’re not alone. The solution: A touch screen 3D shirt builder in-store that helps you visualise your outfits with their curated range of fabrics, collar styles, and button colours! They also gave you the option to pair them with trousers so you’ll know just how to style your shirts!
2. Check out their new line of bespoke shoes - Get to learn more about your feet in the process. The concept store presents the collaboration between CYC and Hong Kong’s premier bespoke shoe artisans, ShoeArtistry. Apart from excellent craftsmanship, and a wide selection of beautiful veg-tanned patina leathers and styles to choose from, they’ve also got a 3D foot scanner to help them measure your feet with maximum speed and precision. With that collected data, they’ll be able to craft shoes moulded to fit the arches, insteps and heels of your feet perfectly.
3. Become a fabric expert in 3 minutes - “What is the difference between 1-ply and 2-ply cotton?” and “What’s the difference between cashmere and merino wool?” Their fitting rooms aim to answer all the common fabric-related questions they’ve encountered in their years of experience. With this knowledge, you will be able to pick out the exact fabric that meets all your needs without being overwhelmed by the choices.

4. Let your creative juices flow like you used to as a kid - Bringing your family and kids along? Now there’s a space for them to play while you focus on getting your clothes done! Create your very own backdrop for an Instagrammable shot with miniature CYC shirts, trousers and quirky animal magnets!
Don’t forget to tag them (IG: @cycmadetomeasure) while you’re at it!
5. Take a peek into CYC's 84-year history - Some of you have known of them since you were kids; some through your parents, some through their heydays. Regardless , it is nice to get a peek into the history of renowned local companies. For those new to CYC, go on a short journey with them as they reveal pivotal moments of CYC's 84-year heritage.

Just as el mero mero is Mexican slang for “the main man” or “the go-to guy”, so is El Mero Mero the restaurant the go-to place for Mexican gastronomy.
Five years after it first opened its doors, the restaurant has reinvigorated its mission of being the venue that sets the bar for Mexican hospitality. El Mero Mero at Chijmes brings to life the vital energy of Mexican culinary culture in all its allure and complexity, and this refreshed energy is manifested throughout all El Mero Mero.
The space has been refurbished with care for a renewed impression. Soft ivory walls, marble tables and lush green plants frame the open- plan kitchen where chefs work together in plain sight, their precise movements drawing the eye to what guests will shortly be dining on. The counter seating offers up-close kitchen- side dining that will illuminate different facets of Mexican food and transform your understanding of Mexican dining. This attention to detail and deep understanding of presentation permeates the new menu, which is designed to reflect both Mexican culinary history and its dynamic modern foodscape.
Consider El Mero Mero’s range of botanas or Mexican small plates such as the classic Baja Fish, elevated, and the Corn Sampler, a dish that plays with different flavours to offer a new perspective on corn; the selection of cocktails based on mezcal including the eponymous El Mero Mero that uses orange-infused mezcal for a subtly smoky, and refreshing long drink.
El Mero Mero’s new menu showcases traditional flavour combinations, and also demonstrates the current Mexican culinary trends. As representative of a cuisine that has so much more to offer, beyond the tacos and burritos that Singaporeans are familiar with: El Mero Mero hopes to open our eyes, minds, and palates to the power of Mexican gastronomy and hospitality.
Thus, while remaining faithful to old mores, the new menu is modern and global, executed with finesse and sophistication. These are some of its highlights.
For classics with spirit and soul, look no further than their El Taco. With crispy tooth fish tempura and juicy salsa, their Baja Fish tacos are a celebration of classic Mexican flavours and an explosion of textures. The Wagyu Volcan’s combination of charred cheese, Australian wagyu beef and molcajete (mortar & pestle) sauce of tomatoes, jalapeno and garlic is a rich burst of juicy umami.
The Avocado Taco brings forward a very different idea: charred corn tortilla and cool creamy avocado – for most Mexicans, this is the taste of home. For novices to Mexican fare, it’s an eye- opener: absolute simplicity, done impeccably.
Other dishes that bring forth these flavours of history and memory include the Hamachi and Coconut Ceviche, a glory of fresh sashimi-grade Hamachi tossed in coconut milk infused with the tangy hibiscus; and Tortilla Soup, creamy comfort made with tomatoes roasted in the Josper oven, guajillo chillies, and thickened with charred tortillas.
A restrained hand with contemporary updates drive up the culinary excitement. Consider the Atlantic Grilled Octopus, a generous Josper-grilled swirl of tentacle that offers oceanic sweetness with an undertone of smokiness and the Corn Sampler, a tribute to the many faces of that essential Mexican staple, maize with skewers of Josper-grilled organic baby corn and donuts made in-house from huitlocoche or “corn mushroom”.
The Gordita expands on the eponymous Mexican classic: rather than simply filling the empty pocket of this corn pastry, it becomes a base to celebrate heirloom vegetables and frijoles. The El Mero Mero Fajita brings together two beloved Mexican flavours not commonly paired together – a poblano shishito crema and grilled beef – to richly savoury results while the Tequila Pecan Pie is a creative and sweetly aromatic combination of Mexican produce – cinnamon, pecans, and tequila – made a little edgier with a final grill in the Josper before serving for a subtle smokiness.
This approach weaves the past and the ‘now’ together for a culinary tapestry like no other.
El Mero Mero promises a new vision of Mexican cuisine and hospitality, saturated with warm generosity. The Mexican heart is all-evident. Make a reservation with them via this link today and be wowed.

At a time when electronic person-to-person introductions and food delivery apps are at the touch of our fingertips, Tiong Bahru Bakery still believes in “celebrating neighborhoods” and that means taking time for the face-to-face connection with people that matter. For the first time ever, the Home of the Handmade Croissant shares the 4,000 sq ft space with internationally award-winning beauty brands Browhaus and Strip at a convenient location in the Central Business District area.
It could not have come at a better time as Spa Esprit Group’s founder, Cynthia Chua, states that “The all-new Funan has provided us an opportunity to sync well-loved brands for a more valuable experience than ever before. We want to continue to be the nexus of creativity, culture and conversation.” The 90-seater bakery is the second outlet to serve the full hot food menu in addition to their popular 100% French flour-and-butter bakes, exclusive coffee blend and superfood treats, after their Raffles City branch.
Being part of Spa Esprit Group’s very first multi-concept without barriers, TBB Funan can be accessed from any entry point on the fourth floor shared with Browhaus and Strip. Captivating images on LED screens greet customers with the newest and latest at the bakery. Soft leather armchairs, warm lighting and communal tables make for easy conversation amongst friends and colleagues.
Following TBB tradition, every new outlet offers exclusives in store for a limited time. At TBB Funan, they have savory porkcast pie on TBB’s signature French butter croissant crust. The diamond-shaped creation adds a flaky and crunchy texture to pork cheek rendang done local-style in homemade rempah or intensely flavored spice paste (read: not poured from a store-bought readymade pack) at $8.90++ each. Not one but two exclusives mark this grand opening of TBB Funan. The best-selling viennoisserie, kouign amann, takes on an Asian-flavored spin inspired by the Chinese fried doughnut or ham chim peng. It is intensified with five-spice butter and sprinkled with black and white sesame seeds on the Breton cake which literally means “cake-butter” at $5++ each that’s available from now till 10 September 2019. There’s also Unity tea blend that’s farm fresh, and made up of ginger, pandan, turmeric and chili ($6/$6.20++ each) which are locally grown by Edible Garden City. “Unity” was chosen to signify the three concepts under one roof for the first time in Singapore.

The Cheesecake Factory story begins in Detroit, Michigan in the 1940s. Evelyn Overton found a recipe in the local newspaper that would inspire her “Original” Cheesecake. Everyone loved her recipe so much that she decided to open a small Cheesecake shop, but she eventually gave up her dream of owning her own business in order to raise her two small children, David and Renee. She moved her baking equipment to a kitchen in her basement and continued to supply cakes to several of the best restaurants in town while raising her family. Read more here about the history of this well-loved cheesecake brand.

They treasure special memories here at Capitol Milk Bar, that’s why they have dedicated many of their burgers to some key people from the history of the Capitol Theatre.
Like silent screen legend Charlie Chapman and his brother Sydney who visited with Capitol Theatre’s Joe and Julius S. Fisher in 1932. Then there’s Douglas Fairbanks, one of the first movie stars to visit Singapore. During his 1935 visit he came to The Capitol to watch the film David Copperfield (1935) with Lady Sylvia Ashley.
Even Hollywood’s most irresistible woman Ava Gardner made an appearance here in 1954. She was in town to promote her new film, The Barefoot Contessa and attended a private dinner right here at the Capitol hosted by the Shaw Brothers who had taken over a damaged and neglected theatre after WW11. They repaired and restored her to former glory, also adding the now iconic neon sign. And let’s not forget that fun little fellow who entertained young Singaporeans with weekly matinee cartoons every Saturday from 1933 – Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse.
Many have fond memories of the popular Magnolia Snack Bar. Opening first as the ‘Creameries Milk Bar’ in the Capitol Building in the 1940s, they served ice creams, milkshakes and cakes. It was a hit with Singaporeans both young and old for social gatherings and post-movie bites. Magnolia Snack Bar closed in the late 1980’s but we have brought back the sweetness…
Strike Me Pink was a 1936 American musical comedy starring Ethel Merman – the undisputed First Lady of the musical comedy stage. We named our take on the local classic chendol dessert “Singapore Dash” a reference to Douglas Fairbanks and his “high-speed visits” to Singapore. And, The Jungle Book as a dedication to author Rudyard Kipling who made many trips to Singapore. Imagine being in the theatre in 1942 to watch the classic on the big screen after they turned it into Technicolor action-adventure film!
