Legacy Dance Co. at Marina Square is the place to begin or pursue your dance dreams! With classes catered for absolute beginners to experienced dancers, they’re dedicated to helping you grow into the dancer you’ve always envisioned yourself to be.
Legacy Dance Co. (LDC) provides a well-structured dance education system. This dance-centric format of education, catered specially for street dance, is relatively new in Singapore. With the emphasis of building a cohesive, family-like spirit between the students and mentors, LDC’s courses are designed to cultivate morals and values that will serve students with purpose beyond the classroom.
The three founders of LDC, are New Revolving Age (NRA) alumni, a Hip Hop dance club from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. They saw a huge potential in the role of dance in Singapore’s education and the arts & entertainment industry, and sought to develop the dance industry through dance education programmes by LDC, with the strong belief that dance is a great medium to bring people together.

Ballet is a performing art, and one of our goals is for our students to understand, appreciate and explore ballet as an art form. Through our annual year end concert, our students get the opportunity to express, perform and experience the stage! The launch of the CBA Performing Group in 2018 also opens doors for more students to enjoy performance and competition opportunities. Find out more about City Ballet Academy's programs here.

All That Jazz Dance Academy, one of Singapore’s top dance schools, has recently opened its second studio at 10 Winstedt Road.
Since its inception in 2014, All That Jazz Dance Academy has provided students of all ages with a high standard of artistic dance education to inspire and foster excellence in the arts. At its studios in Forum The Shopping Mall and Winstedt Road, students are offered a wide variety of popular dance classes like Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Lyrical, Mommy and Me, Musical Theatre, Acro Dance and Twinkle Tots.
Vicky Lee Ward, Director of All That Jazz Dance Academy, started the academy out of her desire to share her deep passion for dance with others. She wanted to provide a safe and loving space, where students can learn dance and feel at home in the studios. To Vicky, dance is not just a super fun activity, but also one that can transform lives by building character, discipline and confidence.
The academy has grown significantly with students ranging from two-year-olds to adults, all united by their love for dance. The decision to open a second studio was made as it was getting pretty full at its Forum location. The space at 10 Winstedt Road was chosen due to several reasons – the spacious studios, the lush surrounding greenery, the cozy feeling of the community at Winstedt and the convenience of the location as it is close to Newton MRT station.
Compared to the Forum branch, the new studio at Winstedt Road boasts larger studio spaces. The comfortable waiting lounge is also much bigger, and there are a lot of new classes offered at Winstedt.
With their recent expansion, All That Jazz Dance Academy hopes to continue to inspire more dance students with positive experiences in its studios, with the teachers and staff members. Ultimately, All That Jazz plans to collaborate with more dance institutions and the entertainment industry to provide their students with more opportunities to pursue dance at a professional level.
New students of the academy can enjoy a free trial class at its new Winstedt Road studio. For more information and to sign up, visit here.

222 Queen Street and 51 Waterloo Street are two sites that have played an important role at the heart of the Bras Basah community and it was once the home of the prestigious Catholic High School, an all-boys educational establishment.
The sites were left vacant from the 1990s when the school relocated to its current premises in Bishan. The buildings were given a new lease of life in 2009 and were transformed into an arts centre by Daniel Teo, a philanthropist and alumnus of the Catholic High School. Current tenants at 222+51 include art and cultural institutes, performing art centres, fitness and wellness studios, catering services, and a gem museum.
Located on the ground floor of 51 Waterloo Street, the building adjoining 222 Queen Street, the mural is a site-specific commission by local artists, Yip Yew Chong and Yuen Kum Cheong. The murals are a series of six door panels inspired by the colourful history of the Bras Basah area. The artists have depicted scenes of daily life in the 1960s and community landmarks such as the old National Library, Odeon Cinema and National Theatre, which have been lost due to redevelopment.
