GrabFood has unveiled their merchant solutions and 1st GrabKitchen in Singapore.
GrabFood commits to merchants’ growth through a merchant platform and launches GrabKitchen in Hillview with over 10 F&B brands, including 3 virtual restaurants and the latest GrabFood Hub.
Based on consumer surveys and insights derived from the Grab app, consumers in Northwest Singapore wanted greater variety of healthy foods, burgers and local foods. Specifically in Bukit Batok, bubble tea, mala, and soup were not only the most frequently searched for items on GrabFood, but also saw significantly higher consumer demand than merchant supply. When it comes to cuisine types, Japanese, Indian and Thai were the most sought after in the area.
To address this gap, GrabFood brought an eclectic mix of over 10 F&B brands into its first GrabKitchen in Singapore, offering a wide selection of food options. GrabKitchen features:
10 restaurants including three new virtual restaurants namely Lady Boss Mala by the founder of Thai Dynasty; Waboru by JR Group as well as Tiffin Walla by Co-Kitchens.
The 6th GrabFood Hub which brings popular hawker food, coveted FMCG and packaged food brands such as Asia Pacific Breweries’ Heineken and Tiger beers anddangerously addictive salted egg snacks by Irvins, which has taken Singapore and the larger Southeast Asia by storm.
Beverages by Playmade, one of Singapore’s bubble tea darlings who has made its first foray into the West with GrabKitchen.
Consumers in surrounding Hillview districts such as Cashew, Bukit Batok, Bukit Gombak and Toh Tuck can have food and drink options delivered on-demand to their door via the Grab app, while those who do not mind taking a short walk to GrabKitchen can opt to dine-in at the location or choose the self pickup option in-app to save on delivery fees. For variety, consumers can order from multiple GrabKitchen merchants in a single order so every one gets to have whatever tickles their fancy. Find out more about the launch og GrabKitchen here.
Food delivery giant Deliveroo has launched its biggest and most innovative Editions site in Singapore, located at Alice@Mediapolis. The site, called Deliveroo Food Market features 10 kitchens and a 40-seater dine-in space powered by a futuristic fully-automated ordering experience in collaboration with eatsa, a San Francisco-based technology automation company. Nine restaurants including Bonchon Chicken, Omakase Burger and Blu Kouzina will offer their unique cuisines at Deliveroo Food Market.
Deliveroo Editions is the company's revolutionary concept of delivery-only kitchens - now a world-wide phenomenon. Deliveroo's Food Market sites build on this by adding a dine in space for customers. Deliveroo is passionate about food and wants to champion local favorites, taking them to new areas for customers to enjoy great variety and more choice. This is all about adding a greater selection for customers.
"We are committed to growth in Singapore and Deliveroo Food Market at Alice@Mediapolis is our biggest and most innovative site yet, with self-serve kiosks and digital cubbies making the order and pick up process much more efficient for both customers and restaurants. As a company, we are all about food and believe in investing in the latest technology to provide the best experience for all customers, whether they choose to dine in or have food delivered to their doorsteps," said Siddharth Shanker, General Manager, Deliveroo Singapore.
Deliveroo, the on-demand food delivery service, has launched a new Deliveroo Editions site in CT Hub 2, Lavender with seven restaurant partners.
This national roll-out of Deliveroo’s innovative delivery-only service comes one year after Deliveroo opened its first site and underlines Deliveroo’s continued successful expansion across Singapore. Deliveroo raised almost $500m in 2017, pledging rapid growth in its Editions programme, which is now taking place in Singapore and other markets around the world.
A world first for Deliveroo at the Lavender site will be the ‘click-and-collect’ function, where customers in the nearby vicinity can choose to pick up their orders directly from the site, or can order whilst at the site and enjoy their meals in the site’s dine-in space. For consumers who do, there is no delivery fee.
Deliveroo Editions is a revolutionary platform for the Singapore food industry. Editions sites host ‘super kitchens’, specially designed only for the cooking and delivery of specific cuisines. The kitchens are home to new, exciting and often totally unique restaurant brands. Deliveroo is passionate about food and wants to champion local favorites, taking them to new areas.
By being in Deliveroo’s delivery-only super kitchens, restaurants are able to expand without needing a physical presence in the area, enabling restaurants to expand more easily and at lower cost to reach new customers. Restaurants use their own expert and highly passionate chefs, just as they do in their bricks and mortar restaurants, but thanks to Deliveroo they are able to bring the same restaurant-quality dishes to more people in more areas, faster.
Motored by its world leading technology, Deliveroo uses its insights to identify cuisine gaps in the local market and predict which restaurants will succeed in a specific area. This further helps restaurants as they can expand with greater insights and therefore lower risk in addition to taking very little capital risk.
For this new site in Lavender, Deliveroo has a list of partners who bring cuisines to meet local preferences. The partners, including Kurry Korner, Aloha Poke, Street of Saigon, Da Paolo Pizza Bar, Blu Kouzina, Wolf Burgers and Dosirak, offer hungry locals a diverse range of quality food, from Indian to Vietnamese to Hawaiian - all at great value.
