Zouk Group has recently announced its expansion plans for Five Guys in Singapore and Malaysia. Opening its first-ever Five Guys in the heart of the city, Singapore’s second outlet will be located in NEX, Serangoon, and is targeted to open by early 2021. Building on the success, the first-ever Five Guys outlet in Malaysia will open its doors where Genting Group was founded - Genting Highlands.
Since Five Guys was introduced in the Lion City in December 2019, it has experienced great success and captured the tastebuds of Singaporeans. Building on the popularity and success of its first outlet, Zouk Group is now making the legendary American fast-casual restaurant even more accessible. Conveniently located in a bustling suburban district of the country, and coupled with delivery service, Singaporeans in the north-east region will also be able to enjoy the classic burger from the comfort of their own homes.
Five Guys, with its hallmark red and white colour scheme, is well known for serving up all-time American favourites – it’s fresh-to-order burgers with 15 customisable toppings and hand-cut fries as its claim to fame. A brand built on customer experience, the Five Guys ethos of no freezers, no microwaves and no timers has allowed them to deliver consistent and premium quality food that is made fresh all over the world.
The iconic menu consists of four basic burgers – Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Baconburger and Bacon Cheeseburger – which can then be customised with 15 free toppings, resulting in 250,000 different ways to order a Five Guys burger. Five Guys fries are equally as renowned, using freshly cut potatoes deep-fried to a golden sheen in 100% peanut oil. Also, on the menu are four basic Hot Dogs (also customisable), Sandwiches, and the famous Five Guys Milkshake.
Following their overwhelming success at Jewel Changi Airport, A&W® Restaurants will open a 2nd outlet in Singapore at AMK Hub in July. The restaurant, which has close to 140 seats, will serve heartlanders a taste of nostalgia from 10am to 10pm every day.
Like its restaurant at Jewel Changi Airport – which has been set up as an incubator for menu innovation and service design, this new restaurant will periodically implement unique features to cater to the customer demographics in the neighbourhood.
Fans can expect a dedicated waffle island which will showcase the bestselling A&W® Waffles and a selfie corner for ‘Instagram-worthy’ moments. In the pipeline are student promotions and a merchandise corner, where fans will have the chance to bring home A&W® Rooty® – The Great Root Bear, whether in the form of plushies, apparels, etc.
A&W® Restaurants at AMK Hub will also potentially roll-out menus for breakfast and late-night supper later in the year.
“As we set our sights on the heartlands, we wanted to return to the Ang Mo Kio neighbourhood and re-connect with our fans who have been patiently waiting for us since the good old days,” said Sally See, International Business Development Manager, “When we identified this opportunity at AMK Hub, we knew it was not to be missed.”
A&W® Restaurants at AMK Hub will serve all-time American Favourites such as the A&W® Chicken Coney Dog, available with Beef Sauce and Chicken Sauce, Waffle Ice Cream and A&W® Root Beer Float, made fresh in stores every day. Best-sellers from the region will also be available at AMK Hub, including fan-favourite A&W® Cream Cheese Chicken Burger inspired from A&W® Okinawa and A&W® Golden Aroma Chicken from A&W® Indonesia.
