GROHE, the world’s leading brand in sanitary fittings, opens its first fully-owned and operated flagship store in Asia today.
Located in the heart of Singapore’s main shopping belt, GROHE SPA aims to raise the bar in delighting and inspiring designers and consumers with a showcase of GROHE’s most innovative water technologies. Covering over 6,000 square feet on two levels, visitors are invited to learn about the design inspiration behind GROHE’s award-winning collections and experience “Pure Freude an Wasser” (Pure Joy of Water).
GROHE collections and products star in many of the world’s most luxurious spas and hotels. The store has recreated seven of these luxurious bathroom suites – each telling a unique design story and testifying to architects’, designers’ and developers’ preference for the brand. Consumers can walk through the bath sanctuaries to get inspired and learn more about the different products featured so as to create their personal hydrotherapy at home.
To experience the different shower sprays, GROHE SPA features live water areas where visitors can experience first-hand GROHE’s DreamSpray® technology. Consumers can also try GROHE’s Minta Touch in the live kitchen area where the tap can be turned on and off with a touch of the arm, leaving hands free to handle food in the kitchen.
Enhancing the brick-and-mortar experience, the store is equipped with smart technologies that help consumers and designers visualise and plan their selections. Tapping on virtual reality (VR) technology, GROHE SPA has a built-in Shower Configurator where consumers can customise their preferred shower system and experience how it comes together in function and design before making a purchase. Putting on a VR headset, consumers see their selections brought to life via projections to experience their shortlisted choices, all without actually getting wet.
Understanding that product information is key in purchase consideration, the store has implemented the use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to enable immediate access via a mobile device. Visitors can learn more about each product displayed and get detailed specifications as they walk through the store, tagging products and emailing the desired information to themselves immediately. Alternatively, they can also project their selections onto a 40-inch interactive touchscreen display interface to better understand each product and view how products have been used in hotel and housing projects from around the world.
Welcoming both designers and consumers, GROHE SPA’s first Asia flagship store will be opened to the public from 9 March.

World-renowned perfume house, diptyque, will be opening their stand-alone store in Singapore soon at Ngee Ann City.
The diptyque story began in Paris at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain with, at its heart, three friends driven by the same creative passion. Christiane Gautrot was an interior designer, Desmond Knox-Leet, a painter, and Yves Coueslant, a theater director and set designer. The first two collaborated designing fabrics and wallpaper for Liberty and Sanderson. They were joined by the third in 1961 and opened a shop to display their designs. Yves became the administrator and consultant; Desmond and Christiane were the artistic soul. Bit by bit, with finely honed taste, the trio transformed the site into a one-of-a-kind setting, a kind of stylish bazaar where one found surprising articles unmatched in Paris, mined and conveyed home by the trio over the course of their travels.
Since 1961, diptyque's passion for creativity and design has made it a world-renowned perfume house, purveyor of a comprehensive line of home fragrance (including our iconic candles), personal fragrance & body care.

Their pieces are handpicked in the different regions in India as to be able to offer their customers a variety of styles of furniture. Inspired by the craft beer and fresh seafood culture of San Diego, Draft & Craft is a unique restaurant-bar concept that serves authentic Southern Californian comfort food and specializes in craft beer, unique cocktails and artisanal cheeses.
Draft & Craft was conceptualized and founded by a couple that moved here from San Diego, who wanted to bring the freshness and easiness of Baja-influenced So-Cal dining to Singapore. The essence of So-Cal dining is fresh ingredients and is usually accompanied with a craft beer or cocktail in a casual, breezy setting. “Draft” refers to the draft gourmet beers on tap, and “Craft” refers to the craft food, cocktails and artisanal cheeses offered.
Draft & Craft serves up “Baja-style” Mexican food, which is a popular staple in Southern California because of its emphasis on fresh produce and seafood with it being typically lighter on the stomach when compared to traditional Mexican fare. Their food is mostly made from scratch, with a few components carefully sourced and selected by their chef. Highlights of the menu include epicurean versions of grilled cheese sandwiches and tacos such as the Baja Fish which consists of beer-battered and fried fish fillet, pico de gallo, fresh shredded cabbage and homemade white sauce enveloped in a warm and soft flour tortilla. In addition, Draft & Craft hopes to introduce the concept of beer and cheese pairings. The effervescence and varying flavors of different beers serves to complement a wide selection of cheeses as they bring out the subtle notes in one another. The gourmet cheese-tasting platter, as well as individual cheese wedges offered on the menu as supplemental beer pairings, were handpicked by their cheese consultant, who owns several cheese bars in Portland, Oregon.
Driven by his passion in craft beer, their beers are lovingly curated by the owner who is a beer connoisseur and home-brewer himself. Some of the offerings on tap include Stone IPA, Rogue Dead Guy Ale, Prairie Saison, and Anderson Valley Summer Solstice. The bottled beer list is constantly expanding and includes a good selection of IPAs, Trappist ales, stouts, porters and ciders.
For wine lovers, they have a selection of white and red wines carefully selected from a small and vibrant wine supplier. The wines offered are made from carefully tended vines, with minimal intervention in the cellar that is looked after by dedicated wine growers. The results are apparent- balanced, delicious and interesting wines which pair well with food. Cocktail drinkers can also choose from the craft cocktail menu that was specially concocted by the owner. The menu places a strong emphasis on fresh ingredients, such as “A Summer’s Day” which consists of champagne, elderflower liquor, and fresh cucumber honey water made from scratch daily.
Housed in a 1,000 square foot venue on the bustling Circular Road, in the heart of the Central Business District, Draft & Craft boasts an intimate setting with a capacity of 80 beer-loving patrons. Over at Draft & Craft, they hold the belief that the devil is in the details and they spare no effort in creating a great experience for you.

They are also famous for their ham-like chashu and extremely tender chicken slices which are cooked at a low-temperature water bath. Just as in the case for Gessi Milano, Gessi has long sought for a very special location to open an inspirational place where the Gessi's world beauty, sophistication, wellness, creativity in designing the most intimate spaces of home dwelling could be represented. Charm, uniqueness, splendor, were the qualities Gessi was looking for, in establishing its house in Singapore.
The place is as unique as one of the very few remaining Victorian mansions in the city and even more one of a kind as it sits in the very heart of the city. Perfectly preserved, it dates back to the XIX century and it is a much protected conservation house.
The project involved the restoration of a two-storey Victorian building that sits on land which was once a nutmeg estate owned by Dr. Thomas Oxley, back in the Colonial era.
They called it Casa Gessi, the Gessi home, first because home interiors is what they propose. Indeed the Casa Gessi is the home to the different ideas and concepts Gessi developed for the home, from the minimalistic Rettangolo home concept, to the soothing roundness of the Ovale Home, to the organic enveloping Goccia and iSpa home, the charming Eleganza home, the artsy, verdant and architectural Cono home concept and so on.

After running Singapore’s renowned Expat Auctions for several years, where they handle an eclectic array of furniture and decorative pieces from all over the world on behalf of relocating and redecorating clients, Rob and Jo saw a gap in the market for stylish and quality international homewares and decorator items at a reasonable price. Their collection reflects this significant colonial era and is perfect for sourcing distinctive items that will add unique character to your space.
