Once a boarding school for the children of British soldiers, the former Kinloss House has been completely restored to its former classic beauty. This 2,400 sqm building set on 1.9 hectares of land used to be the executive training center for a major global company. The Lady Hill Road address is now used by EHL Campus in Singapore.
The property houses classrooms, meeting rooms, a large multi-purpose hall and numerous break out spaces. This location has been selected based on several factors such as potential for student life, quality and aesthetics, flexibility to accommodate modern learning formats, its peaceful environment to facilitate learning, proximity to some of the main touristic landmarks and an opportunity to offer an EHL experience with a genuinely local flavor.
The Campus is in an upscale part of Singapore, in lush natural surroundings. It is located near the Tanglin area (a wealthy residential hub), a region of the city known for its grand mansions and sweeping lawns, which now house a number of International Schools, Embassies and High Commissions.
Many shops, food courts and other attractions are a quick drive away, including Orchard Road, Singapore’s main shopping street, a few minutes away by car.
EHL Group's Campus Singapore project has been approved by the Singaporean authorities, and earned the EduTrust certification. Candidates can apply to start their Preparatory Year at the EHL Campus Lausanne in September 2020 and then begin their Bachelor course as the first cohort at EHL Campus (Singapore) in the fall of 2021.
More than 13,000 food items were raised for Food for the Heart's very first community shop at Mountbatten. The donations will supplied to 500 needy households from the Mountbatten and MacPherson neighbourhoods. At the store, beneficiaries can choose up to 12 items a month from the wide selection which is manned by volunteers.
Food from the Heart (FFTH) is a non-profit charity organization established in February 2003 after Singapore-based Austrian couple Henry and Christine Laimer read an article in The Sunday Times about bakeries discarding their unsold bread. Stirred, they then decided to channel surplus food from bakeries to those in need.
Food from the Heart has since evolved to become a resource bank, taking in non-perishable food items, toys and toiletries besides bread, whilst recycling and rechanneling whatever they can to good use.
As the need for services continue to grow, innovative programmes were added to not just alleviate hunger but also bring joy and hope, touching lives in every possible way.
An establishment steeped in culinary history, the 1-Group introduces Zorba, The Greek Taverna – a unique Greek experience that brings authentic dishes with age-old traditions from the azure Mediterranean Sea to sunny Singapore. Sitting along the waterfront of the Singapore River in Clarke Quay, Zorba aims to transport guests to a Greek isle with nourishing simplicity set along the picturesque riverbank.
Taking pride in their culinary traditions, Zorba presents a selection of crowd-pleasing dishes from appetisers, pristine seafood and meats, and tempting desserts. Rooted in Greek heritage and culture, Zorba sources its traditional ingredients direct from Greek suppliers.
A signature option at Zorba is the extensive selection of Greek’s Mixed Grill Platter ($88). This hearty sharing platter includes cheese-stuffed bifteki, pork gyros, chicken and beef souvlaki, lamb chops and Loukaniko. Perfect for sharing with friends and family of two to three, this platter, and served with a side of fried potatoes, salad, and tzatziki. Another substantial dish is the classic grilled platter of Souvlaki ($20) that showcases juicy grilled meat skewers served with chips and tzatziki salad. Zorba's version features the traditional Greek selection; Argentinean air-flown Black Angus striploin, Iberico pork, and Brazilian chicken breast. The meats are marinated for 48 hours in a proprietary blend of spices before being grilled to perfection, making for a full-flavoured and tender bite.
An all-time favourite, the Htapothi Sti Skhara ($30) features a heritage recipe from the isles of Greece. The octopus is first tenderised by hand as the chef beats it with a smooth rock, after which it is sprinkled with salt water and rubbed with the same rock in a circular motion until the tentacles curl up. The octopus is then slow grilled atop a low-burning charcoal fire with sea-salt and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, for a delicate smoky char.
Other noteworthy grilled items include Tsipoura ($32), which utilises sea bream flown in from Greece. The ancient Greeks held the sea bream or 'Orata' (Italian for 'golden') in high regard due to the golden flecks in its eyes, and it was frequently offered to the goddess Aphrodite for its attractiveness and meaty flesh. Keeping the seasoning light and clean, the fish is drizzled with lemon, garlic and olive oil and grilled on a plancha for a meal worthy of a deity.
Aside from pristine seafood and quality cuts of meat, the Greeks are equally known for their saccharine desserts. Fit for any sweet-tooth, Greek Baklava ($12) presents a rich sweet flaky pastry made of layers of filo filled with chopped nuts and held together with honey. Another dessert staple includes Yiaourti Me Meli ($8) - Greek yoghurt with lashes of honey and crunchy walnuts.
Along with the great tasting food, Zorba also serves Katogi Averoff wines from Metsovo by the bottle to further enhance the Mediterranean experience.
Where people live and laugh, connect and collaborate. Where one and all come together. This is Sekisui House, Sino Group and Far East Organization’s vision of the new One Holland Village mixed-use development. Read on to discover how this vision is being realised.
A new development is rising – bringing together the energy of a city and the warmth of a village. Introducing a single location that blends the old and the new; urban landscape and lush greenery; residences, serviced residences, shops and offices.

Drawing inspiration from Holland Village's architecture, streetscape, and low-rise shophouses, this development will create a live-work-play environment that will bring the community together as one.
Building a new development within the low-rise enclave of Holland Village requires boldness and sensitivity. Rather than an imposing structure towering over the neighbourhood, One Holland Village blends seamlessly into the distinct's informal landscape, an extension of the neighbourhood's stoned walls. Its architecture carefully references the basic building blocks of the neighbourhood - the iconic shophouses and irregular strreets. The result is a distinctive landmark that enriches the existing Holland Village community and urban fabric.

What started as a playful game of word between Anne-Jean and Panagiotis, the owners of House of AnLi at Tanglin Mall, resulted in the name of their culinary adventure: Pano Kato.
Pano Kato means in Greek – Panagiotis’s mother tongue – upstairs downstairs. Thus referring to House of AnLi store & bistro upstairs and House of AnLi & Pano Kato downstairs in Tanglin Mall.
The Greek origin of the words Pano Kato refers to the Mediterranean cuisine that is served in all it’s simplicity.
Simple, unpretentious, pure are key words in Anne-Jean’s and Panagiotis’ taste for delicious home cooked style food using great ingredients from the Mediterranean.

Having launched five years ago in early 2012, Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse made an imprint on Singapore’s dining scene by being the only restaurant to serve a 1.2kg charcoal-grilled Bistecca alla Fiorentina Wagyu T-Bone Steak. After five very successful years, the establishment has moved to a new location right next door, replete with an elegant makeover.
Diners will be wowed by the newly outfitted shop-house, combining modern and sleek architecture while preserving several elements of the nearly century-old heritage structure. From cozy booths with an unmatched, intimate dining experience by candlelight and impeccable service; to a modern Tuscan affair at the Chef’s table, adjacent to the open-design kitchen and Fiorentina cellar - Bistecca welcomes patrons looking for a host of different experiences.
Open for dinner daily, and for lunch six days a week, Bistecca’s menu will remain largely unchanged, with a few special additions, leaving regulars filled with anticipation on what surprises Bistecca has in store. The Bistecca alla Fiorentina, a crowd and family favourite, will remain on the menu along with their daily hand-made pastas, made using only egg yolks in the traditional Italian method. Diners can expect new dishes such as the Fettuccini with smoked pimentón pasta, blue swimmer crab, roasted peppers, and lemon butter, giving Bistecca an air of Italian decadence.
Bistecca is known for their F1 Wagyu beef which is pasture raised in the King and Kiew and Valleys of Australia, and organic grain-finished under the highest ethical standards. And in line with their food philosophy, all of their seafood is sustainably sourced, whilst the produce is organic where possible.
Located only five minutes from the Singapore CBD, Bistecca is available for bespoke dining experiences at the Chef’s table overlooking the kitchen, as well as catering to larger groups looking for an entertaining evening at Singapore’s most stylish steakhouse.
Located in the heart of the CBD, Blue Label Pizza & Wine offers a modern take on the neighborhood pizzeria.
Settle into one of their cozy banquettes and enjoy an architecturally thoughtful space with beautiful wood detailing. The menu features shareable snacks, stone-fired pizza and the city's most eclectic and surprising wine list. In fact, you can have almost any wine on their 200+ list by the half-bottle.
Due to their intimate size, do note that they accept reservations exclusively through their website.
