Highlights include theCBGB Swizzle, a riff on the classic Mai Tai named for the Lower East Side Manhattan club known as the birthplace of punk music; You Don’t Have to Put on the Red Light, an amaro twist on the classic Negroni named for the Sting song and bar’s namesake “Roxanne”; the Jean Genie, a pear twist on a classic daquiri named for the David Bowie song that he called “a smorgasbord of imagined Americana”; and The New York Dolls Sour, a whiskey sour with American apple brandy named for the legendary 1970’s glam metal band.

The team is led by head bartender Tash Nayar, who brings 10 years of industry experience to his second concept launch as head bartender (previously at Miss Fitz).
The bar bites menu truly ties the New York to this Singapore location with the perfect pairing to any drink. The bites are variations on iconic New York foods that bring simple, yet playful forms of the food that defines New York. You can’t miss the Bagel Popcorn, popcorn tossed in the spices of an everything bagel; Pastrami Sandwich Bites mimicking the famous Katz Deli, or a Hot Dog With Diced Onions & Cheese found at any street corner push cart.

F&B newcomer The JOMO Group will launch their first neighbourhood bar + kitchen + bottle shop ‘JOMO’ in the bustling Holland Village locale in early January 2021. This venue will be the first of five that The JOMO Group plans to open around neighbourhoods in Singapore, with the view of offering high-quality cuisine coupled with beverages at a very accessible price point.
JOMO aims to become a local hot spot for guests looking for a wide selection of drinks and dishes that are family-friendly and affordable. The concept will be that of a warm, casual, friendly neighborhood hangout with a minimalist Bar, Kitchen & Bottle Shop vibe, and a modern yet timeless ambience directed towards a simpler lifestyle.

Following the successful launch at CÉ LA VI Tokyo in 2019, CÉ LA VI have announced that their new fast and casual dining concept, BAO, is now available in Singapore at the CÉ LA VI SkyBar. Guests can enjoy both signature and Singapore special juicy Baos, paired with thick-cut fries, set against the breath-taking panorama of the city skyline.
The Bao burgers offer a tantalising fusion between Asian bao and western burgers, inspired by the fluffy bao popular in Taiwan, Japan and China. The housemade Bao buns are steamed to order and seared on a hot cast iron pan on one side to achieve a crispy, caramelised interior while maintaining the soft pillowy Bao exterior. The menu draws inspiration from flavours across Asia, featuring seven tantalising Bao combinations loaded up with sustainably-sourced, antibiotic- and hormone-free ingredients.
The man behind this exciting offering, Group Executive Chef Joey Sergentakis, says, “We are delighted to roll out our Bao burger concept in Singapore after the success we’ve seen with them in Tokyo. What makes the Bao unique is the combination of different textures and techniques that balances out the flavours and creates this gastronomic East meets West fusion.”

The Ministry of National Development (MND) and the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) have recently announced the award of the design consultancy tender for the redevelopment of The Float @ Marina Bay. The Float @ Marina Bay will be renamed as NS Square.
The completed space will be a distinctive, attractive and flexible events venue. NS Square will also feature an NS-themed gallery, community sports facilities and a new public waterfront promenade.

A new permanent stage deck will replace the existing floating platform, with a new grandstand of increased seating capacity of around 30,000 seats. The tiered curved seating stacks will wrap around the stage to provide an uninterrupted line-of-sight to the stage from all angles as well as bring spectators closer to the 'action'. In addition to hosting the National Day Parade, the space can also be configured for events of different scales and types, such as concerts, performances, sporting activities and competitions.

When not in use for events, the stage area will be a multi-purpose space for community activities. The public can also enjoy a new waterfront promenade around the stage that will form part of the continuous loop around Marina Bay and improve pedestrian connectivity in the area. This lower promenade area will be opened all year round; supporting F&B and retail options are also being considered within the new development.

To leverage the site's unique waterfront location, the development will feature a water sports facility to support activities such as dragon boating, canoeing and kayaking. This facility, part of a larger network of water sports facilities around Marina Reservoir, will provide the community with greater access to water-based recreational options in central Singapore. There will also be a swimming pool and water play areas for the public to enjoy.
With a mix of open and enclosed spaces, the planned NS-themed Gallery will showcase our nation's defence and NS story, and acknowledge the contributions of our national servicemen past and present. Stories of servicemen from the Singapore Armed Forces and Home Team will be told through various multimedia platforms and hardware displays.

Asian Development Bank (ADB) has opened its Singapore Office which marks a new stage in the expansion of ADB’s private sector operations. It will be a lean and focused office comprising 12 specialists from ADB’s Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD) and Office of Public–Private Partnership, working in a range of sectors including infrastructure, financial institutions, agribusiness, health and education, trade finance, private equity, and cofinancing. The office is led by Sonali Tang, who has worked at ADB for 5 years in various senior roles.
ADB’s private sector operations promote the investment of private capital for development purposes. Last year, PSOD completed 38 transactions, around one-fifth of ADB’s total operations by number. ADB aims to increase this to one-third of total operations by 2024. The office will make it easier for ADB to efficiently engage with clients, project sponsors, contractors, advisors, financiers, other international finance institutions, and professional service providers.
Singapore was a founding member of ADB in 1966. It borrowed from ADB until 1980 and graduated formally from borrowing in 1998. Since 2001, Singapore has contributed to ADB’s concessional fund, the Asian Development Fund, as well as the Technical Assistance Special Fund. In 2012, ADB and Singapore signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance knowledge sharing and cooperation in governance and public policy, private sector development, climate change, and infrastructure and urban development. Singapore is an active participant in the ASEAN Infrastructure Fund that is supported by ADB.

The opening of KOMA will complete the trio of concepts launched by TAO Group and Marina Bay Sands as part of a new dining and entertainment complex at the integrated resort, along with nightclub MARQUEE which opened in April and cocktail lounge AVENUE in May this year. KOMA also marks the fourth concept opened by TAO Group in collaboration with Marina Bay Sands, which began with LAVO Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar in January 2018.

Las Vegas Sands has released an official announcement on a bold expansion plan for Marina Bay Sands in Singapore which will see the world’s most successful and recognizable integrated resort add significant new tourism offerings to the property. The company has entered into a development agreement with the Singapore government and said it will quickly begin work on the new project.
Located immediately adjacent to the existing Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort (IR), the key elements of the development will be a state-of-the-art 15,000-seat arena, a luxury hotel tower and additional MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) space.
“Marina Bay Sands is an iconic tourism destination that has exceeded all of our hopes in growing leisure and business tourism in Singapore and it is a privilege to receive the Singapore government’s continued support of its development. The property has achieved amazing success for both Singapore and our company and we plan to create even more with this expansion,” said Las Vegas Sands Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Sheldon G. Kingsmen Creatives announced that Kingsmen Xperience, its US-based subsidiary, has entered into a licensing agreement with Hasbro International, Inc. to create, build and operate the Nerf brand of family entertainment center (FEC) attractions across Asia Pacific.
Under the agreement, Kingsmen will co-conceptualise, create, build and operate multiple Nerf FEC locations. The agreement between Hasbro and Kingsmen marks the start of an inaugural partnership and entry into the development and operation of Nerf FEC attractions across Asia Pacific.

Commanding a prominent waterfront location with the Singapore skyline as its backdrop, the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore (MBCCS) serves as a marine gateway to the heart of the city.
Occupying 28,000 sqm, equivalent to three football fields, the MBCCS is designed as an architectural icon with the capability to accommodate some of the world's largest ships. The terminal features a spacious arrival and departure hall as well as a large ground transportation area to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for passengers.
MBCCS is set to expand as regional traffic grows. MBCCS, which has two berths now, has enough capacity to survive the next 3-5 years. More berths needed as Marina Bay terminal is set to receive over one million passengers a year
With passenger numbers at MBCCS likely to cross the 1-million-passenger mark this financial year, the terminal is taking steps to avoid possible congestion by tapping smart technology.
By September 2019, a total of 460 cameras, each capable of clicking 750 images a second, will be installed at MBCC with sensors fixed at key locations such as the check-in and baggage handling areas.
