The Garden, which was first completed in 1967, now features a new rock garden (“Karesansui”) with nine sculptural rocks and a granite crossing bridge. The Karesansui’s effect extends the serene and calm essence of the Japanese Garden, while the granite crossing bridge symbolically draws visitors into the realm of the Japanese Garden.
A water cascade with a traditional Japanese basin and a traditional Japanese lantern were also added.
