Airbus has officially opened its new integrated campus in Singapore. Located at Seletar Aerospace Park, the new Airbus Singapore Campus covers an area of 51,000 sqm. It is an expansion of an existing site, housing the Airbus Asia Training Centre (AATC), a joint venture between Airbus and Singapore Airlines, and the company’s Asia-Pacific spare parts distribution facility, operated by Airbus subsidiary Satair.
New facilities at the campus include offices serving as the company’s regional hub for its commercial aircraft, defence, space and helicopter businesses. In addition a second Satair warehouse has increased storage volume and capacity by over 70%.
Also located at the campus is the new South East Asia operation for the Airbus digital services platform Skywise. In addition to supporting Skywise customers, the team based in Singapore will be involved in exploring potential partnerships with start-ups and other technology providers in the region.
Additionally, the campus will be home to a branch of the global Airbus Leadership University, providing training and tailored development programmes for company employees. When operational, the Singapore facility will be second in Asia, complementing an existing centre in Beijing, and will offer courses to employees based at Airbus offices across the region.

Over the past eight months, Singapore’s foremost gluten-free bistro The Butcher’s Wife has played host to Drunken Farmer, a travelling natural wine bar and consultancy belonging to the same Spa Esprit Group portfolio of F&B brands. Guided by Drunken Farmer’s natural wine expert Eduardo Bayo, The Butcher’s Wife then revamped their wine programme to focus solely on wines that are organic, biodynamic, natural, and sustainable. Since making the switch to champion a 100 per cent gluten-free lifestyle in 2017, this natural wine programme compliments one of the most exciting chapters the Tiong Bahru backstreet bistro will soon embark on: a shockingly simple approach to gluten-free dining by new Brazilian head chef Mariana Campos that favours all manner of funk, is great for the gut and delicious to the very end.
To cater to diners and regulars who cannot get enough of these natural wine offerings and a pandemic that’s changing the way we eat and drink, The Butcher’s Wife has launched Singapore’s very first brick and mortar natural wine retail space. Curated by Drunken Farmer, retail offerings include popular labels that diners have discovered while dining at The Butcher’s Wife, including its monthly 5 Bites 5 Wines event organised in collaboration with Drunken Farmer and many more surprises, at to-go prices.
Following the kick-off of the natural wine retail format at The Butcher’s Wife, the retail to-go concept might be replicated to cater for the neighbourhoods the other SEG F&B outlets are located in, so wine lovers can rejoice in the fact that a bottle of natural wine is always in close reach.

Blue Ocean Art is an art concept that is focused on delivering investment grade art works from all around the world to their clients and investors. Visit their newly-opened Blue Ocean Fine Art Gallery at Marina Square to find a unique piece to start or add to your art collection.
Featured in the listing picture here is a piece from artist Liu Yujun 刘玉å›.
In Liu Yujun's painting series entitled Unidentified Liquid, he has created paintings of Chinese beautiful women. Liu Yujun carefully includes images of blue liquid in a various form in his works. The images of the blue liquid seems to be mysterious and ambiguous as it has no connection with the images of beautiful women. The blue liquid symbolises a sense of insecurity.

Cathay Organisation has unveiled a new space designed to reinvigorate the coworking scene in Singapore. Situated in the vibrant Robertson Quay neighbourhood, in close proximity to the Central Business District and surrounded by a host of fitness and lifestyle establishments, Gather aims to create a community of like-minded individuals and bring renewed inspiration to their work. As well as being conducive to a focused and productive work day, the pet-friendly space prioritises the wellbeing of their members through a unique and engaging programme of lifestyle offerings.
Designed by Takenouchi Webb – the name behind a slew of establishments across the city, including The Straits Clan, Esora, and The Tippling Club – Gather is warm, bright and inviting. The design brief for GATHER was to create a softer workplace; this was achieved through opening up the space and maximising ceiling heights and natural light, using full-length windows to allow natural light to shine in and welcome the surrounding greenery.
The colour palette uses a selection of earthy pinks, whites, and light wood colours to complement the use of natural marbles and stronger terrazzo tones to create a relaxed atmosphere which differentiates it from other coworking options in the city. Whilst the design of the workspaces was kept relatively simple, a heavier focus was placed on the key communal areas, where more impactful materials were used, with brass elements punctuating the social setting.
A coworking space designed with the modern- day business in mind, Gather offers a host of workplace options, from fully-furnished offices to bespoke suites and event spaces, workshops, sessions and activities.
A total of 12 offices range in occupancy from 6 to 40 people. On level 3, all spaces are fully furnished, with private offices suitable for up to 8 people. On levels 4 and 5, bespoke options offer freedom and flexibility for individuals to customise their own office space and layout, whilst still benefitting from the various perks of a Gather membership. Larger office spaces on these floors are able to accommodate businesses of up to 40 employees.
Situated on the outskirts of the iconic Orchard Road shopping district and easily accessible from the Central Business District, Robertson Quay makes for a more relaxed office location; the urbanised area is home to an eclectic mix of restaurants and cafes, with al fresco dining options aplenty and a focus on community and neighbourhood. Holding the wellbeing of their members in high regard, Gather has partnered with several establishments in and around Robertson Quay, offering exclusive benefits for members with Orange Theory Fitness, Absolute You and F45, amongst others. The new coworking space will also play host to regular networking and community-based events, offering members the opportunity to expand their network, learn new skills, and embrace a more social work life.

UNA finds a new home on the second level of the newly-relaunched Alkaff Mansion. A rich patina of romance washes over the restaurant, from the lovingly restored ebony-hued timbers of the pitched ceiling and floors; to the gorgeous, contemporary lighting feature showering down like silver and crystal rain; to the extraordinary view like a tropical mirror of the rolling green hills of the Basque country.
The floor plan centres on a spacious dining hall, with 2 private rooms easily created through sliding glass panels if privacy calls. Adjacent to the main hall is the UNA bar and dining porch, where an aperitivo can be sipped while taking in the view before or after dinner.

UNA is a homage to the art of gastronomy and living well. Its Spanish roots are wedded to the dynamic individualism of Basque cuisine, resulting in a menu of Basque-inspired dishes and popular favourites from the former establishment crafted using the best produce sourced locally as well as from the Basque and Spanish regions.
Among the signatures are Fideua De Calamares (squid ink Spanish noodles paella with crispy calamari), Pulpo A La Parrilla Con Papas Arrugadas Y Mojo (tender octopus grilled over a charcoal fired parrilla grill accompanied with baby potatoes and a coriander and paprika sauce).
There is also the rich and comforting Paella De Chorizo Y Habitas (classic family-style paella slow cooked with savoury chorizo, fava beans and aromatic saffron), Paella de Mariscon (classic seafood paella with bomba rice, prawns, clams and mussels, enriched with generous touches of saffron) and the evergreen Cochinillo Asado (Spanish crispy roasted suckling pig).
The desserts present decadent Spanish sweets such as Chocolate & Olives, Arroz con Leche de la Abuela (a fragrant Spanish rice pudding served with sherry grapes and a sherry reduction) and Classic Churros, served with spicy pecan chocolate sauce.
At UNA Bar & Lounge, a selection of tea infusion cocktails complements the food.
Living life with gusto, UNA takes diners into the romantic heart of the Basque.

Head Chef Betram Leong brings his rendition of French Mediterranean cuisine, flecked with rustic, comforting and occasionally Asian flavours to an all-day dining menu. Beverage manager Din Hassan takes the best of Southeast Asian flavours and distils it into a concise but clever menu of reinvented classics and regional favourites, with a day drinking happy hour programme.

Bringing it all together is The Supermarket Company founder Sue-Shan Quek, a hospitality maven with a portfolio of well-loved cultural-culinary concepts and a penchant for art and design. It all started with a seed and then that was nurtured by their firmly-held belief in celebrating neighbourhoods, that blossomed into a space bourne out of love called Tiong Bahru Bakery on 43 Jalan Merah Saga in Chip Bee Gardens, surrounding the artsy bohemian enclave, Holland Village. After six years in the planning of this long-awaited fourth bakery (really, since the inception of this Singapore-French concept), finally the Home of the Handmade Croissant can embrace the unique culture of the locale and the creative melting pot of individuals that make up this quaint and tight-knitted community.

Sticking closely to homegrown Tiong Bahru Bakery's DNA, they bring fresh breads, viennoiserie and pastries to the people everyday. Expect the full menu of well-loved and familiar all-French butter and flour only treats such as their signature butter croissants which are baked fresh every two hours priced at $3.20 each and the grand list of iced and hot beverage from 8am – 8pm daily at the neighbourhood's doorstep.

Debuted in May 2012 on Eng Hoon Street in charming Tiong Bahru, offering the neighbourhood a range of French pastries and artisanal breads made with the best French flour and butter. As one of the very first French bakeries in Singapore, Tiong Bahru Bakery revolutionised the way locals enjoy breads with topnotch bakes and sparked the French bakery trends. Their croissants have been voted by many as the best in Singapore and the Kouign Amanns are much raved about. All best enjoyed with an aromatic cuppa from the specialty coffee bar by Common Man Coffee Roasters.

CapitaLand’s 51-storey future-ready skyscraper integrated development, CapitaSpring, will rejuvenate Singapore’s CBD with its vibrant vertical community.
As a world-class integrated development where the possibilities for future of work will be expanded amidst a vibrant work-live-play vertical community, CapitaSpring has secured its first anchor office tenant; ahead of its scheduled completion in the first half of 2021. J.P. Morgan, the global banking and financial services provider, will take up close to a quarter of the 635,000 sq ft of the net lettable area at CapitaSpring. This translates to approximately 155,000 sq ft of premium office space from levels 24 to 30.
The name “CapitaSpring” is inspired by the Green Oasis, a four-storey high botanical promenade between the Grade A office floors and the modern serviced residences. Embodying a connection with nature for urban dwellers in the heart of Singapore’s downtown core, the Green Oasis will become the central social space for placemaking and community activities as well as a city-defining architectural feature at a breathtaking 100 metres above ground.
CapitaSpring which broke ground for construction in February 2018, will be one of the tallest and greenest buildings in Raffles Place, with integrated commercial and community spaces and a City Room at the ground floor. Community events such as fitness sessions and lunchtime performances can be held at the City Room, which will blend into a 12,500 sq ft public park. Occupants can also look forward to a café, treetop cocoons, sky hammocks, meeting and activity spaces connected by a spiral stairway at the Green Oasis. CapitaSpring will also be home to Singapore’s highest urban farm and a fine-dining restaurant on the rooftop at around 280-metres-high.
Harnessing some of the latest Internet of Things and artificial intelligence technologies, robots and sensors – executives will be securely and seamlessly connected to their offices through an all-in-one lifestyle app. CapitaSpring will also allow tenants more flexibility in space planning with the option of inter-floor network connectivity, expansive column-free floor plates as well as one of the tallest floor-to-ceiling heights of 3.2 metres in the CBD. With a prime location in the downtown core, CapitaSpring will have excellent connectivity island-wide, with sheltered access to three train lines via Raffles Place MRT interchange and Telok Ayer MRT station as well as major expressways. CapitaSpring will also have a cycling path in its perimeter, 165 bicycle lots and well-equipped end-of-trip facilities, complementing the government’s strategy for a car-lite Singapore.
Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group, in collaboration with Carlo Ratti Associati, CapitaSpring will also comprise a 299-unit Citadines serviced residence managed by The Ascott Limited, ancillary retail space, as well as a food centre located on the second and third levels of the development. Stallholders from the well-loved Market Street Food Centre will return to the new food centre at CapitaSpring upon the building’s completion.

There’s nothing quite like a Spanish tapas restaurant: its buzz is electric, its flavours an absolute delight, its drinks a tonic for the soul. It’s a place that pulls you in and makes you want to stay... forever.
With its bold makeover, FOC PIM PAM is that magical place; now more than ever.
FOC PIM PAM (meaning ‘quick and easy’ in Spanish) is inspired by the Spanish bodegas and celebrates the vibrant tapas and wine culture of Barcelona with fine, fun food and sensaPonal drinks. Located in a laid-back nook of Orchard Road and already the go-to spot among diners for lunch, dinner and late-night libaPons with a Spanish flair, FOC PIM PAM now offers even more with the refurbishment of its interior.

The ambience is transformed to evoke the irrepressible energy and style of a Spanish tapas bar. The new colour paleUe is an urbane fusion of blacks and greys with Pmber finishes and metal accents. ParPPon walls, display shelves, pillars and counter tops take on rounded corners and languid lines and hum with a hip efficiency. While the funcPonal zones are clearly defined, the layout is open and freewheeling and invites the ceaseless human movement and social acPvity so reminiscent of tapas bars.
As befits Iberian hospitality, the service is fast and friendly, adding to the infecPous vibe. The menu has been re-invigorated. While sPll centering on Spanish cuisine, new menus have been created for each dedicated space within the restaurant.

Designed by architectural firm Ong and Ong, the new Gateway Theatre is a multi-theatre venue located in the heart of Bukit Merah Central.
An arts venue built by the Faith Community Baptist Church (FCBC), the Gateway Theatre project cost over $50 million to complete. It aims to be a creative arts space that promotes Made-In-Singapore works and talents of all cultures, while developing an appreciation of the arts within the heartlands of Bukit Merah and in Singapore.
The Gateway Theatre occupies the site of the former Touch Community Theatre. A wall dating back to the Dhalit cinema which first stood there has been repurposed into a decorative feature of the Sky Garden.
The space is operated by production entertainment company Gateway Entertainment, which is helmed by Faith Community Baptist Church's pastor Lawrence Khong and his daughter Priscilla.
Its two main venues are the 930-seat Main Theatre and the 200-seat modular Black Box theatre. Within the building are two studio spaces for multi-purpose use, an outdoor roof garden and small balcony gardens for open-air performances. Gateway Theatre aims to fill this building with performances big and small, of various genres and styles.
One of its kind, Gateway Theatre’s Sky Garden is a unique green space in the middle of the Bukit Merah heartland that is landscaped with manicured lawns, shade trees, a water feature and an outdoor stage. This green refuge can be transformed into a unique event space for product launches, weddings, dinner receptions and even fitness lessons.

Originally used for movie screenings in the 1980’s, the main theatre is now the prime space and heart of Gateway Theatre for arts and performances. The intimate two-tiered theatre is fully equipped with a 12m x 6.45m LED wall and an array of visual, audio and lighting systems that can meet the needs of various art genres. It’s also great for product launches, conferences, film screenings or lectures.
Gateway Theatre’s Black Box is a space for your imagination. It’s an intimate and unique space where the most innovative and engaging type of performances unfold right before your eyes. Their Black Box has flexible staging and lighting configurations to suit a wide range of events, and it’s a great space for concerts, exhibitions – even movie filming. A key feature is the three-meter high LED wall that can give new depth to a performance or conference.

District6, Singapore’s newest co-working space, has opened its doors.
Housed on the second floor of Odeon Towers, the chic and minimalist space is designed to flood the space with natural light in the day. The generous 10,000 square feet space is outfitted with comforting furnishings and a pleasing palette of wood and white – drawing from the belief that the art of a decluttered space leads to a decluttered mind. Furthermore, the founders have left it up to the discretion of its tenants to decorate their own office as they see fit such that it would feel more like their very own space.
The promising community that the District6 team have built so far include people who create and innovate the built environment like real estate tech and smart living start-up IglooHome and one of the most significant research and education non-profits in the real estate industry - Urban Land Institute.
The team at DISTRICT6 will host events relevant to the co-working community that inspire and inform, above the usual networking opportunities. Those include, the first real estate tech Hackathon in Singapore hosted in collaboration with IglooHome, keynote speeches and networking hosted by Urban Land Institute, and fundraisers for visionary hotel schools in Myanmar.
The unassuming but elegantly designed space at District6 is utilised to provide a range of flexi desks, dedicated desks, private studios (for teams of 2 to 4), private offices (for larger companies with 5 to 20 people); and four unique meeting rooms.
Amenities and facilities include small meetings rooms, dedicated phone booths, a large boardroom, and an event space that holds up to 100 people, complete with 8-metre high ceiling with a projectable wall. The communal ‘living room’ also houses specialty Coffee bar from Kyoto, Kurasu. All beans are sourced by a specialty roaster around Japan to offer the finest selection of brews to keep the team going throughout the day – all complimentary to members of course.

Spanish restaurant chain, Pura Brasa, which started in Barcelona in 2010, has set foot in Singapore. Its seventh restaurant is now at Tanjong Pagar Centre.
Pura Brasa was created by Josper®, the internationally recognized brand of charcoal ovens, with the aim to be a place to give ideas to Josper’s customers and teach them how to implement the grills and ovens and the variety of applications they have. Eating at Pura Brasa is the best way to see how the Josper® technology works.
Apart from being based on grill and the Josper ovens, Pura Brasa’s concept goes much further: a modern place, with open kitchen, where the customer feels comfortable and relaxed while savoring a unique dining experience. A novel formula of understanding the act of eating, or simply enjoying some tapas, in a pleasant, modern and casual ambience.

Singapore will reclaim land through the development of a polder at the north-western tip of Pulau Tekong. This innovative, cost-saving method, to be used for the first time here, will be adopted by the Housing & Development Board (HDB) for the upcoming land reclamation project.
Construction will commence at the end of next year, and the reclamation is slated for completion around 2022. The plot of land to be added is equivalent to the size of two Toa Payoh towns and would be used for military training. Unlike the traditional method of infilling with sand, this new “empoldering” method involves creating a tract of reclaimed land from the sea or a surrounding water body, by constructing a dike and a network of drains, water pumping systems and canals. It will substantially reduce the amount of sand needed for land reclamation, and reap savings on upfront construction costs.
