Enhancing the brick-and-mortar experience, the store is equipped with smart technologies that help consumers and designers visualise and plan their selections. Tapping on virtual reality (VR) technology, GROHE SPA has a built-in Shower Configurator where consumers can customise their preferred shower system and experience how it comes together in function and design before making a purchase. Putting on a VR headset, consumers see their selections brought to life via projections to experience their shortlisted choices, all without actually getting wet.
Understanding that product information is key in purchase consideration, the store has implemented the use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to enable immediate access via a mobile device. Visitors can learn more about each product displayed and get detailed specifications as they walk through the store, tagging products and emailing the desired information to themselves immediately. Alternatively, they can also project their selections onto a 40-inch interactive touchscreen display interface to better understand each product and view how products have been used in hotel and housing projects from around the world.

Winestone is a Mediterranean restaurant, late-night bar and wine retail store, serving affordable wines and authentic Mediterranean platters. The name of the restaurant reflects the idea of the outlet, a new distinguishing concept with two elements: the wine selection created out of the experience and the knowledge of its wine ambassadors and signature meals served on stone boards.
The concept of Winestone revolves around the key words: simple, attractive, authentic and affordable. Expect quality wines at affordable prices, from $10 for a glass and $48 for a bottle. Famed Japanese discount store Don Quijote has opened its first store in Singapore at Orchard Central.
The double-storey 1,397 sq m discount store is operating with its name as Don Don Donki instead of Don Quijote because a Don Quijote restaurant already exists here in Dempsey Road. The 24-hour store has the same range and eclectic mix of products as its outlets in Japan.
Founded in 1978 by Takao Yasuda, the brand now has over 368 stores in Japan, Hawaii and the United States.
The second Singapore outlet is set to open middle of June 2018 and will be located in Tanjong Pagar.
One of the levels of the flagship store is dedicated to food. You can also find the Don Don Donki bar, the first outside of Japan.
The Japanese themed bar with an array of drinks like sake, beer and whiskey operates from 4pm to 2am from Sunday to Thursday and from 4pm to 3am on Friday and Saturday.
