Pizza lovers have something new to look forward to! Homegrown Deelish Brands, Singapore’s pioneer of halal fast-casual chain restaurants who first brought us Fatburger, has brought one of America’s most exciting woodfired oven pizza chains to Singapore.
800° Woodfired Kitchen – which boasts Miami Heat mega-stars Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem as owners – brings a taste of authentic Neapolitan-style woodfired pizza to Singapore. The location also includes the first 800° cafe in the world.
Established by award-winning American chef Anthony Carron, 800° Woodfired Kitchen is founded upon principles such as using the highest quality ingredients, in addition to having a wonderful ambience and a superior guest experience.
The perfect pizza starts with the best Neapolitan flour, imported from Naples, Italy. The flour is custom milled with high protein content, resulting in an elastic dough for that perfect crust. The highlight is the wood-fired oven, which brings the cooking temperature as high as 800° Fahrenheit, or 420° Celsius, resulting in that beautiful leopard print char on the crust. 800° Woodfired Kitchen uses a blend of various types of wood to infuse each pizza with a unique smoky taste. As the oven is continually seasoned with use, you can expect the individually shaped pizzas to taste even better over time.

Crossing the Straits of Johor via a 25m-high bridge from Woodlands North Station (LRT) in Singapore to the Bukit Chagar Station in JB, the Johor Bahru – Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link will help to ease Causeway congestion, improve connectivity, foster people-to-people ties and generate shared economic and social benefits. The RTS Link will be a standalone Light Rail Transit (LRT) System with the capacity to serve up to 10,000 commuters during peak periods, for every hour and in each direction.
To facilitate a seamless travelling experience, there will be co-located Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) facilities. Passengers travelling in either direction will clear both Singapore and Malaysia authorities at the point of departure, and need not go through immigration clearance again at the point of arrival.
The RTS Link is a 4km rail shuttle service between the Singapore terminus at Woodlands North station and the Malaysia terminus at Bukit Chagar station in Johor Bahru. It has a large capacity of up to 10,000 passengers per hour in each direction. Passengers will enjoy a fast and seamless experience travelling between Singapore and Johor Bahru on the RTS Link, and a journey time of about five minutes between the two stations. Furthermore, the Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine (CIQ) facilities of Singapore and Malaysia will be co-located at Woodlands North and Bukit Chagar stations, which means that passengers only need to clear the immigration authorities once, i.e. at their point of departure. When the RTS Link opens for service at the end of 2026, it will be a game changer that will significantly improve connectivity between Singapore and Johor Bahru and ease congestion along the Causeway.
The RTS Link Woodlands North Station will be constructed underground at a maximum depth of 28 metres. There will be three stories, with two basement levels and an underground linkway to the CIQ building. The RTS Link Woodlands North Station and CIQ building are approximately 10 times the size of a typical MRT station. These facilities will be adjacent to Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) Woodlands North MRT station and be seamlessly connected via an underground concourse. The tunnels will be connected to the viaduct that crosses the Straits of Johor at a height of 25 metres.
Hollywood’s favourite burger joint, Fatburger is excited to announce the launch of its newest outlet at The Star Vista on 17 December 2020. Coming right up on the tails of its world’s first lifestyle concept store that was officially opened earlier in November at Orchard Cineleisure: Fatburger currently boasts five stores in Singapore since its inaugural inception in 2017. Diners can expect Fatburger’s full range of signature thick burgers, juicy buffalo wings and hand-scooped ice cream milkshakes to be transported to the City of Angels this holiday season!
Rising up amidst a pandemic, Fatburger opened three new outlets in quick succession this year. A trailblazer and innovator, the Halal-certified fast-casual restaurant is headed up by Chief Executive Officer of Deelish Brands, Mohamed “Moe” Ibrahim who wears many hats – an American businessman, hotelier and restauranteur. Switching tracks from Finance and Asset Management to become a serial F&B entrepreneur, Mr. Ibrahim is taking Halal cuisine where no one has gone before with the mission to “bring the world’s most loved, trusted and fastest growing restaurant brands to Southeast Asia,” starting with Fatburger.
Deelish Brands plugs the market gap in Singapore’s F&B sector for a trendy, fast-casual restaurant concept expanded for the large and growing Halal community in Southeast Asia. Fatburger, its pioneering project which has quickly gain popularity and is a leading fast-causal burger chain in Singapore; was inspired by Mr. Ibrahim's American counterparts and their fast-casual restaurant concept for fuss-free and hearty meals. Having captivated the hearts and taste buds of consumers in Singapore’s competitive F&B industry with its strong 100% local supply chain, Mr Ibrahim affirms that the key to sustainable competitive advantage is speedy innovation rather than past success.
Lights, camera, action! Hollywood’s favourite burger joint, Fatburger is thrilled to announce the launch of its first flagship lifestyle concept store that brings great food together with an unforgettable dining experience right here in Singapore at Orchard Cineleisure. It features a unique stadium-like design with bold wall murals inspired by Los Angeles, making it the first-ever Fatburger in the world to have such an interior.
Pair it with Fatburger’s full menu of fresh burgers — including farm-to-table chicken that’s never frozen, and freshly baked artisanal buns — and you have everything that you’ll need to make you feel like you’re in the City of Angels.
At Fatburger’s Cineleisure outpost, you can expect to see neon signboards and striking street murals that look like they came straight from the streets of LA: essentially, it has all the makings of an endlessly-Instagrammable hotspot.
The highlight and favourite spot in the new restaurant is easily the elevated stadium seats that are situated on either end of the restaurant. The unique stadium-style design of the restaurant is the first in the world, and makes for a great place to chill out and enjoy Fatburger’s fresh all-American goodies.
Grab a burger, kick back with a cold soda, and watch the world pass you by on the elevated stadium seats — and don’t forget to take a pic for the ‘gram while you’re at it.
The 'FAT' in Fatburger stands for 'Fresh', 'Authentic', and 'Tasty' - and you are guaranteed a generous dose of that at their Cineleisure flagship. Expect only quality offerings at Fatburger that are free from artificial flavourings. Fatburger takes pride on using only fresh, never frozen, farm-to-table chicken, and locally-sourced artisanal breads, which are baked fresh daily.
Lip-smacking burgers and fries aren’t the only thing you’ll find at Fatburger. Thanks to the addition of Buffalo's Express — a co-brand that shares the limelight with Fatburger — diners can treat themselves to a mouth-watering assortment of buffalo wings, all accompanied by the brand’s 8 signature sauces. For a classic taste, opt for the cajun sauce, and if you’re feeling particularly brave, you can try their self-explanatory Death Valley hot sauce that's tolerable only by true spice-fiends.
Min Jiang at Goodwood Park Hotel marks another milestone in its decades-long history with rejuvenated interiors, refreshed menus & revitalised dining experience.
Housed in the heritage Goodwood Park Hotel, the esteemed Min Jiang brand has been significant in the grand dame’s illustrious history and reputation of pioneering firsts. In 1982, the Hotel opened Min Jiang Sichuan Restaurant alongside Garden Seafood Restaurant, and in 1989 introduced Chang Jiang Shanghai Restaurant, a novel concept to first serve Chinese food, French-style from a side servery. The merger of all three restaurants took place in 2004, transforming them into today’s flagship restaurant, Min Jiang, lauded for its outstanding food, service and resplendent setting.
Helming the kitchen of Min Jiang for almost 10 years is Master Chef Chan Hwan Kee who honed his skills in Cantonese and Sichuan cuisines, captivating diners with inspired flavour combinations and renditions of classics. Blending time-honoured culinary traditions and an inventive approach with a mindful balance, his dishes please both the palate and the senses.
The menus are curated with new creations, signatures and house specialities. During lunch, Min Jiang carries on the tradition of featuring a dim sum pushcart service – a classic offering seldom found in Chinese restaurants these days. A new range of hand-made dim sum has been introduced such as the Steamed Pumpkin Ball, Deep-fried Homemade Squid Tofu with XO Sauce and Deep-fried Bacon Roll with Enoki Mushrooms and Prawns that will be popular with diners of all ages. The creatively presented Min Jiang Land and Sea Quartet features a rabbit-shaped Steamed Prawn and Carrot Dumpling accompanied by Deep-fried Pork ‘Char Siew’ and Pine Nuts in Glutinous Pastry fashioned like a carrot. Firebake is a restaurant at East Coast with the first full-scale woodfire bread oven in Singapore, using European historical techniques of breadmaking. Founded by veteran food & beverage consultant Konstantino Blokbergen, Firebake is a celebration of the ancient pathways of breadmaking, and the importance of human touch in the process.
Firebake’s crowning feature is its twin woodfire ovens. One dome-shaped and the other tunnel-shaped, they allow bread to be baked and selected dishes to be slow-cooked. Hand built from some 5,000 bricks by specialized craftsmen over 6 weeks; they are a primal presence and the heart of the restaurant, because around them, and in full view of diners, the ‘theatre’ of breadmaking unfolds.
In the past in old Europe, the entire community would get together and bake bread on Sunday after church. Firebake embraces this tradition and recaptures its comforting spirit in its bread craft and a food experience that is best enjoyed with breads.
On the menu are tartines and sandwiches, salads, soups, stews, grilled and smoked meats and fish, and baked desserts – all tailored to complement the sourdough breads used in the form of sandwiches, toasts, chips, croutons and bits, and breadcrumbs. The flavours are global and contemporary while techniques are again historical European, and showcase the faceted use of the woodfire ovens and stoves, and cast iron pots and pans.

The legendary steakhouse, Morton’s, has unveiled a refreshed and contemporary new look following a 3 month renovation.
16 years since the restaurant first opened its doors in Singapore, the time-honoured main dining room, three private dining rooms and Bar 12.21, have all been transformed to reveal a fresh, bright and contemporary space, which exudes sophistication.
The restaurant façade now features French windows which offer an inviting glimpse of the revamp through Bar 12.21 and on to the main dining room beyond. With its lighted bottle display and contemporary chandelier light feature, the chic bar makes an ideal place to rendezvous for aperitifs of signature MORtinis or sample a selection of over 60 whiskies, bourbon and premium spirits.
Over in the main dining room, the use of crisp white paint on the walls is elegantly contrasted against the use of dark wood accents seen in the cornices, window frames and the screen panel features. This is offset by the accents of warm colour tones in the vaulted ceilings; gold in the main dining room and pale blue in the private dining rooms, as well as the use of various textures throughout, such as the brickwork effect stone tiles which frames the showcase kitchen. With a distinct Art Deco feel to the overall design, the restaurant now benefits from a real sense of space - the accumulative result of the removal of the partition between Bar 12.21 and the main dining room; the new wall-to-wall windows that stretch the length of the main dining room; the creative use of mirrors and clean contrasting colour palate, all beneath the warm glow of the bright sparkling chandeliers.
The three private dining rooms, each space unique, follow the clean and contemporary look, and feature distinct pale-blue vaulted ceiling with a cloud mural. New cutlery and glassware completes the overall redesign, not to mention the cherished pig-shaped tabletop oil lamps which have been lovingly restored, and now utilise eco-friendly tealight effect lights.
Oenophiles are sure to delight with the introduction of 52 wine lockers, where you can keep bottles of their favourite vintages, or alternatively, choose from the extensive wine list - many of the bottles which now grace the new showcase wine wall.

Nestled within the eclectic conservation area of Bussorah Street is the modern, understated chill out restaurant and bar, Pizza Fabbrica, a newcomer in Singapore’s vibrant Italian food scene that’s already making a splash.
The hub of this minimalist pizzeria is the lively open kitchen, which houses an impressive slick copper woodfired oven and from which the chefs prepare authentic Italian dishes under the helm of Executive Chef Matteo Boifava, a native Italian born and bred in the historic northern city of Cremona. Amidst the stark décor and feel of a contemporary pizza factory, Chef Matteo and his team let the food speak for itself. Highly committed to always serving the best.
Pizza Fabbrica stays true to traditional recipes while playfully reinventing them with cheeky, modern interpretations. You will find much of the condiments home-made, including marinated olives, sundried tomatoes, fig and chili jam, mostarda and pesto, to name a few. With up to 14 freshly made pizzas on offer, the pan-Italian menu is also heavily centred on artisanal produce, such as Rustichella d’Abruzzo Artisanal pasta from Italy and freshly roasted coffee beans by Dutch Colony Coffee. Buon Appetito The combination of Chef Matteo’s Italian roots and refined cooking techniques results in dishes that are robust in flavour, hearty in size yet delicate in treatment. You will be treated to a range of much-loved Italian pizzas such as the Magherita Di Bufala D.O.P, or the Vegetariana.
The pizzas all feature Chef Matteo’s own style of pizza base, made with dough that has been proofed for 48 hours, using the best quality of Caputo flour from Italy and topped with Fior di Latte (fresh mozzarella) air flown in from Italy. The herbivores amongst us would also be thrilled to know that Pizza Fabbrica lays claim to an exclusive vegetarian menu, courtesy of Chef Matteo’s vegetarian mother.
Executive Chef Matteo Boifava brings with him over 18 years of experience. He is a specialist of fine dining using haute-cuisine technologies. Never one to rest on his laurels, Matteo has also sharpened his culinary chops in kitchens around the world, including a stagier stint at celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal’s famed 3 Michelin-starred restaurant in London, The Fat Duck.
Chef Matteo grew up on a farm surrounded by fresh produce, provisions and typically homecooked fare, which has given him a solid foundation on the importance of cooking with fine ingredients and maintaining their fresh flavours to make the dishes come alive. Under his experience and guidance, the food at Pizza Fabbrica takes inspiration from authentic recipes passed down from the generations of women in his family.
The main highlight of the bar at Pizza Fabbrica is the impressive line-up of craft beers, most of them Italian. Beer lovers can savour the novel offering of Birra del Borgo, Fabbrica della Birra Perugia, 32 Via dei Birra, Birra Amarcord, Westmalle and Hitachino Nest among many more. The list of offerings will grow to 30+ within Q1 and is bound to appease all craft beer enthusiasts.
Designed by Hui Designs, it showcases painted wooden wall panels in coastal blue, brightly coloured tiles, oak wood and ‘old-world’ checkered vinyl tiles flooring, juxtaposed with cane furniture, baskets, bamboo blinds, nautical-themed artwork and palm trees.
The new space is modern and enticing and highlights how coastal touches can meet "old-world" tropical charm to compliment the natural setting. The Waterfront Bar now takes on a more seafood-focused menu with oysters and succulent seafood at the helm.
