Designed by Crown Digital, the smart retail solution provider arm of Crown Coffee, the latest version of ELLA, ELLA X, was built on the back of 4 earlier prototypes and experience from serving over 80,000 cups of coffee at over 40 events across the last 2 years. Situated next to Crown Coffee’s CT Hub 2 location, she is the first commercial standalone model designed for unmanned and contactless retail operations that is launched in the public domain.
Fully self-contained with its own mobile app, payment gateway and e-wallet, the end user can order and make payment on the Crown Coffee app on-the-go, while earning rebates by paying using Crown Dollars stored in their Crown Wallet. While ELLA is preparing the coffee, an interactive transparent OLED screen opens up a myriad of possibilities – from serving as an augmented reality photo booth to displaying customised dynamic advertising that is targeted to the end-user’s profile, or even indulging the end-user in a quick game or two. All while ELLA’s six axis robot arm works her magic behind the screen to produce the perfect cup of barista-quality coffee, using high quality Buscaglione Coffee beans that are ground-to-order and freshly frothed milk.

Pet Foodies is an online marketplace for your pet's needs, including a selection of pet foods and accessories, grooming services and pet hotels. And now, they've even started a Pet Foodies Express, which is a 24/7 shop unit with vending machines stocked up with various pet food, treats and merchandise.

Unboxed by Singtel is an unmanned 24/7 store designed to introduce customers to a new retail experience featuring the convenience of digital technology in a friendly store environment.
In a first for Singapore, customers can consult with a roving live bot, which is powered by facial recognition technology, to receive personalised recommendations; try out phones; conveniently sign up for mobile plans at video-assisted self-serve kiosks; and immediately collect their purchased devices from the in-store POPStation. Additionally, customers can browse and buy popular accessories such as headphones, phone cases, power banks and contract-free handsets. They can also make bill payments, top up prepaid cards and Dash wallets, and get instant SIM card replacements.

Currently based in the CBD at 20 Pickering Street, the store is modular and movable. Measuring 45 sq m when fully extended, it can be easily transported and reconfigured to fit different spaces. The store will move to a new location every few months to serve customers at high-traffic areas such as transport hubs and school campuses.
Co-created by Singtel staff, NCS and SingPost, security for the store is provided by NCS which developed a round-the-clock security platform called Sentinel while the POPStation lockers are prefilled with devices and replenished daily using SingPost’s Last Mile Platform (“LaMP”).
