The Singapore Table Tennis Association just launched another zone training centre at Blk 810 Hougang Central. For the official opening, there was an exhibition match between London 2012 Olympics Women’s Singles Bronze medallist, Feng Tianwei and YOG Silver medallist, Isabelle Li.

The STTA is sparing no effort in producing champions of tomorrow. They have current zone training centres at Bishan, Tampines, Clementi, Yishun Toa Payoh, Jurong West and now Hougang, they will be able to groom many more local talents like Isabelle Li to bring more glory for Singapore.

The centre has collaborated with the Bedok Reservoir, Punggol Grassroots Organisation for set up of the new zone training centre. And they hope that children living in the north-east will get to benefit from the programme.

Their zone training centres are instrumental in strengthening the process of discovering and nurturing young and potential talents in a structured and sustainable manner. The centre at Hougang can accommodate up to 40 youth paddlers.
