The beautiful lush gardens of Dempsey Hill welcomes E+ Wine, a boutique wine retail shop that has been birthed by the desire to afford you a special little haven where good wines can be found within the confines of a charming and delightful environment.
It offers a stunning repertoire of genuinely great wines that have been selected by hand with love and passion where no wine in the store is considered average.
They represent a fast-growing Spanish wine movement but also include a stunning selection of Italian, French, Portuguese, and even Austrian and German wines that are worthy of well deserved attention. The wines come from very well known regions but are boutique in nature as E+ Wine works directly with vineyards that offer limited productions and very special grape harvests.
E+ Wines is a partnership between 'Iconic Wines', a Spanish / Singaporean wine distributor helmed by the Spanish Dynamic duo who are making waves in the Singapore wine scene, Ferran Riu & Jorge Padilla, and by the renowned and distinguished John Erdos of the furniture empire. Iconic Wines, extolled as Spain’s national pride, is a company that has been formed to enhance, to elevate and to exalt the original and die-hard winemakers that nobody hears about but that deserve attention. These winemakers, are the producers of extraordinary wine because they have not been affected by the big wine conglomerates that value quantity over quality. Iconic Wines provide a voice for the unheard and have even attracted the attention of Antonio Banderas who has co-invested in one of their own vineyards. Because Iconic Wines is a distributor, the prices that one may find at the shop are like Duty Free levels.
They work very closely with industry virtuosos to ensure that they stay up to date with great wines that are popular, but at the same time maintaining the unique essence of the boutique.
It is perfect for small intimate cocktails and canapé events for up to 50 people and they are happy to cater for almost all personal requests.
E+ Wines holds wine tastings on a very regular basis, by bringing you the actual winemakers in person, who have themselves worked with the wines and held the vines with their bare hands.

The eagerly anticipated first standalone store in Singapore, will open at Scotts Square, as a result of Balmain Paris and Ittierre's collaboration.
The Balmain boutique will showcase the entire, chic spring/summer collection, which is aimed mostly at a younger clientele. The Pierre Balmain’s wardrobe makes the perfect combination between stylish casual clothing and the finest leather: denim and knitwear fabrics. Infused with the powerful DNA of the original brand, the store flaunts a younger and rockstar attitude. You'll be mesmerized with its downtown cool vibe with the same rock'n'roll sensibility, at a wallet-friendly price.
By the end of 2012, Pierre Balmain will launch 700 stores around the world.
Pierre Balmain had studied under the greatest couturiers of the time, Molyneux and Lucien Lelong, he opened his own Couture house and set up business in the Rue François 1er. His female clientele were delighted to discover the new image of woman that he had created. That woman had shrugged off the last remaining images of the war, with considerable and unashamed charm, and in doing so heralded a return to opulence and richly embroidered finery. He represented a certain idea of elegance and a clientele of queens, princesses and starlets, but as a label it was also very firmly established in the everyday world. The 1970s gave birth to the Ready-to-wear phenomenon, which secured a solid foothold in the market and which is currently producing some particularly satisfactory results with over 200 licenses.
The House of Balmain’s designer has been Olivier Rousteing since 2011. He supervises the design and development of the brand’s men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections. Before joining Balmain, Rousteing worked for five years at Roberto Cavalli, where he was promoted to the position of Designer for the women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections.

Dishes such as the crema di crostacei, a starter of lobster, langoustine and crab-infused stock with just a hint of cream and a touch of cognac. Their signature homemade fresh pastas are still available, with new additions such as the tagliatelle bellavista, which pairs fresh tagliatelle with lobster-infused olive oil-based sauce and the juiciest cherry tomatoes.

Paul & Joe is named after store creator Sophie Albou's two sons.
After graduating from the French Fashion Institute, she went on to join the team at Azzédine Alaia, where she developed her talent and her generous style. After the first successful working experience, she became a stylist for Le Garage Shirts and after six years decided to create her own brand.
In 1995 she launched her first menswear collection, contrasting strongly with men's fashion around at the time; young, fresh, retro and colourful. This was a resounding success; her first customers adored the collections, spurring her on to create a womenswear collection, which she did a year later. The collection was made up of shirts and trousers to begin with, but rapidly evolved, bearing more and more of the hallmarks of her unique style: fresh, highly colourful, with flamboyant prints and very feminine fabrics.
The Paul & Joe woman resembles its creator, active, bubbly; she loves to travel and loves the luxury of being able to mix and match her own wardrobe, and to accessorise it according to her mods or her timetable. She is a resolute anti-conformist.
Sophie is now developing a specific universe in all her boutiques, bringing back her unique and original finds from the far flung corners of the world, giving each of her stores its own very special charm.
The womenswear boutique in Rue Des Saints Péres opened its doors in September 2001 and is today the finest example of this. Almost simultaneously he opened a boutique in Rue Du Four dedicated exclusively to menswear.
Paul & Joe has never stopped changing. The brand has over thirty boutiques throughout the world, from Paris to London via Seoul to Jakarta and now the luxury Italian brand has arrived in Singapore. Paul & Jo is also distributed in the most prestigious multi-brand department stores in the world: Barney's, Harvey Nichols, Isetan, Le Printemps and Harrods to name but a few.

A new luxury boutique hotel by Sofitel will soon be opened at the heart of Singapore's central business district. Sofitel So Singapore will be located at 35 Robinsons Road, formerly The Ogilvy Centre.
The five-star hotel will retain its neo-classical facade and some of the existing building structures, while a newer five-storey wing is constructed at the back of it. Built in 1927, the iconic building has its roots as a telecommunications and postal building when it was first The Cable and Wireless Building, and then later the Telecommunications Authority of Singapore in 1992.
To preserve its heritage, some $130 million was spent to conserve the 84-year-old building's large columns and recessed balconies. The hotel is slated to open in the first quarter of 2013, making it the third international boutique hotel under Sofitel's expansion plans. The first Sofitel So hotel was opened in Mauritius in Dec 2010; the second will open in Bangkok in 2012.
With 135 room suites, Sofitel So Singapore is aimed at attracting the savvy business travellers looking for prime location and unique lifestyle offerings. The highlight is the top-of-the-line loft suite, measuring some 104 sq m, which was created because of the way the old building was structured.
Rack rates for high-end rooms will start from $350 and above. In line with the Sofitel So concept, each boutique hotel will combine Sofitel's style of living with a signature design of an international designer from the fashion, art or design fields.
While the designer for Singapore has not yet been decided, he or she will have the calibre of Kenzo and Christian Lacroix - fashion couturiers who designed Sofitel So Mauritius and Sofitel So Bangkok respectively.

Designed in Tokyo - Inspired by Life - Built for City Living
Tokyobike started in 2002 in the old Tokyo suburb of Tanaka. Its inspiration came about from its name. In the same way Mountain bikes are meant for mountainous riding, Tokyobike is designed for navigating around Tokyo.
Its ethos stems from exploring one's favourite city and the nooks of the less beaten path. From the lightness & comfort of pedaling to the simplistic design and multitude of colours, Tokyobike envisions its riders exploring their cities, enjoying themselves and taking it slow in today's fast-paced society. Afterall, life is always about the journey rather than the destination.
Tokyobike’s first and only flagship boutique in Asia outside of Japan arrives in Singapore mid-2011. Set in the colourful environment of Haji Lane – wedged between the old and the new, lose yourself to the sights, sounds and scent of middle-eastern shisha, street food, trendy bars and chic boutiques. Haji Lane provides the perfect backdrop to the Tokyobike lifestyle – where every turn is a discovery and every discovery a surprise.

Good French wines at affordable prices, finally! It is all happening at their boutique and showroom called Le Bénaton located on Bukit Timah Road. Packed with wines from small wineries from all the regions of France, they offer an impressive selection, from casual and very affordable to rare and prestigious wines.
Le Bénaton is actually the showroom for a group of reputable French growers, whose wines are mostly found in fine dining establishments. As they originate from Burgundy, it is needless to say that Pinot Noir and Chardonnay lovers will be delighted by the vast selections.
You will also find a team of French wine representatives who will be happy to share their passion and knowledge of wines with you and let you try some of their favourite wines. As a showroom for traditional French wineries, Le Bénaton carries exclusively French wines imported directly from reputable growers and wine makers from all the regions of France, this category of wines is usually referred to as "boutique wines" or "vins de domaines et propriétés" in French.
Since their wines are not mass marketed, some can be very hard to find, except on fine dining tables, at the cellar door, or at Le Bénaton! Their selections range from very affordable and easy drinking wines from the south of France at around $20, all the way up to the very exclusive and prestigious grands crus and old vintages at a few hundred dollars. They carry many mid-range wines from $30 to $60 where you will find excellent value for money.
They also bring as a service to their customers certain selections of “open market” wines, such as Bordeaux Classified growths. If you have any specific requirements, do not hesitate to ask them and they will try to source the wine you're looking for. Do not hesitate to ask them for any information, they will guide you through the “classics” or through the totally off-the-beaten track wines which can also be amazing.
