Interpreters of timeless beauty, the company believes in the designs and materials that guarantee wellbeing. Furnishing the home, office, public space and travel. and their first flagship store has just opened at Scotts Square.
A story that goes back to 1912 with the foundation of Poltrona Frau, followed by the creation of Cassina in 1927, and Cappellini in 1946. 2005 saw the creation of the Poltrona Frau Group, the leading international group in the high-end furniture sector that comprises Poltrona Frau, Cassina and Cappellini, as well as Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, Gufram and Nemo.
Over the years Poltrona Frau Group has underlined its ability to interpret, but above all anticipate the evolution of contemporary living. Thanks to the far-sightedness of entrepreneurs and managers who, down the years, have understood the importance of being bold, of continuous experiment, and of challenging the rules, the Group is now a point of reference in the high-end furniture market for the most important international designers and architects.
In Poltrona Frau, everyone involved in monitoring the creation of the product, every artisan, is, in his own way, a designer as it is he who shapes the material, forming it into a design that can guarantee pleasurable use. However, the world’s greatest architects and designers have been involved in Poltrona Frau’s production capacity, aware of creating items that are destined to last. It's a close relationship between the ability of doing and the history of a company that looks to the future.
