Bill Graham, the owner of The Quayside Group – The Pump Room, Quayside Seafood, Peony Jade – enjoy beef so much so that he’s now set up a casual bistro to offer his customers a steak to suit every taste preference possible. The Pump Room at Great World City has now been reduced to a smaller al fresco bar, and the main interioe space has been replaced with Pepper Steakhouse and Bistro, which is highly accessible to residents and office workers in the River Valley area.

The dinner menu offers five types of steak including New Zealand Firstlight grass-fed Wagyu, Australian Harvey grain-fed prime beef and New Zealand Savannah Black Angus, complete with the usual fine marbling, sirloins and Chateaubriand fillets. The bubbly bistro has thrown in unlimited fries with all steak orders, and one can choose between any one of four pepper sauces, plus the standard Bernaise, red wine, and mushroom varieties.
The Pump Room’s award-winning beers go well with the variety of cuisine which extends well beyond steaks and includes several mouth-watering salads and seafood (surf & turf) options; plus a fantastic and large range of new world wines by the bottle and by the glass!
