Jewel Coffee is a cosy hangout for those who enjoy their espresso fix while having light meal options at any time of the day. The quaint cafe will not be missed from a distance with its attention-grabbing and iconic red ‘COFFEE’ sign spanning the wall behind the brew bar, inspired by an American charcuterie in Portland. Quirky collectibles and figurines adorn the cafe interior, adding a personal touch and vibrance to the space.

Helmed by veteran chef Chalton Lam, formerly from P.S. Cafe and Prive, the 900 square feet joint has both indoor and al fresco seating, offering delicious breakfast options such as popular brioche, pancakes and frittata, to a comprehensive range of classic favourites including the mushroom medley pasta, salads and sandwiches for lunch and dinner. All pastas and salads have the option of customisation with add-ons of sausages, roast beef and chicken, or chilli for those who enjoy their food with a spicy kick. Those with sweet tooth can also satisfy their cravings with its mouth watering range of pastries and cakes. Customers can also take a pit stop in the evenings to unwind with ice cold beer, paired with mouth-watering bar snacks such as fried pork cubes with kaffir lime chilli sauce.

Jewel Coffee is the only cafe in town that focuses solely on single origin coffee options for both the espresso and the brew bar, with all espresso-based drinks getting a generous double shot of espresso for each drink served. Customers get to enjoy single origin coffees from different parts of the world, rotated on a weekly basis.

Besides bringing in Singapore’s and Asia Pacific’s first owned manual La Marzocco Strada espresso machine for highly controlled brewing accuracy by the skilled barista, Jewel Coffee also features an impressive brew bar equipped with the powerful and sleek Uber Boiler that speeds up the brewing process with a perfect control of the water temperature and dose. Jewel Coffee specialises in three main coffee brewing methods – the Chemex, the pour-over and the syphon. For coffee connoisseurs who prefer more robust coffee, the pour-over would be the preferred method of brew, while those who prefer a lighter, easier-to-drink coffee can opt for the Chemex as this method strips out the bitter elements of the coffee to provide a cleaner taste for the palate.

Jewel Coffee’s philosophy is to inculcate a culture of fine coffee appreciation, taking coffee craftsmanship to the next level akin to fine art. Customers are able to learn about the coffee craft and brewing process from the baristas as they brew their coffee ‘live’ for each order, and address any coffee queries that the customers may have.
