Nautica, a modern American classic will open in early May 2013 at Paragon. The store will carry the latest range of men's and women's apparel and accessories.
What began as a collection of outerwear over twenty-five years ago has become a leading global lifestyle brand representing the finest in men’s, women’s and kid’s apparel and accessories, as well as a complete home collection. Over the past two decades, Nautica has become one of the most important and most recognized brands throughout the world.
Nautica set sail in 1983 when founder, David Chu, created six styles of outerwear intended to seamlessly fuse fashion and function. Named for the Latin word “Nauticus” for ship, the Nautica logo became a spinnaker, a timeless symbol of adventure and exploration. Today, the world of Nautica represents both a rediscovery and a reinterpretation of what Americans have always wanted to wear.
The steady growth of the brand through its early years prompted the launch of additional brand extensions including Nautica Competition, Nautica Home, Nautica Jeans Co. and Nautica Women’s Sportswear. From eyewear to swimwear, home to watches, today Nautica has 54 licensed categories that reflect the brand’s commitment to quality, integrity and service.
The famous sportswear brand has opened a new store at Paragon.
Founded in 1938, Columbia Sportswear apparel, footwear accessories and equipment have earned a reputation for innovation, quality and performance, serving the needs of outdoor enthusiasts in more than 100 countries.
The company has grown from a small family-owned hat distributorship to one of the world's largest outerwear brands and the leading seller of skiwear in the United States. At the head of the company are 84-year-old matriarch Gert Boyle, chairman of the board of directors, and her son, Tim Boyle, president and chief executive officer.
Their chairman's passion drives them to make the best products for outdoors people with the same spirit. They believe this passion is what defines true pioneers. Not skill. Not the size of the mountains you play on. It's all about your joy.
Their retail store carries fashionable apparels and accessories. When celebrities, supermodels and tastemakers began wearing the baby tees, a phenomenon grew, and a decision was made to launch an entire Baby Phat sportswear collection. Baby Phat (an acronym for “pretty, hot and tempting) has an on- going celebrity outreach and product placement to key influencers such as Selena Gomez, Eva Longoria, Shakira, Eva Mendes and Jennifer Lopez.
Creating that sparks and sizzle is what the Baby Phat girl is all about. Over the past decade, Baby Phat has established itself in the world of fashion as a premier metropolitan brand.
In 2004, the brand was purchased by Kellwood, accelerating its growth and expansion into over a dozen diverse product categories both domestically and internationally including; footwear, kids, outerwear, handbags and intimates.
Kellwood designs, manufactures and markets a growing collection of premier fashion brands across a broad range of consumer lifestyles including Vince, Rebecca Taylor, David Meister, Zobha, Sag Harbor and XOXO.
Anne Fontaine designed her first collection in 1993. What began as a collection of white shirts has grown into a lifestyle brand, offering a full collection of tops, outerwear, knits, accessories, handbags, a home fragrance collection and now an exclusive cosmetic skin care line.
Anne Fontaine opened their first store in the Rive Gauche section of Paris in 1994. Since then, they have expanded to over 80 boutiques worldwide, including flagships in Paris, Tokyo, & NYC, as well as the introduction of a retail/spa concept in their Paris Flagship in 2007.
Last year Anne Fontaine launched her first boutique in Singapore with 100 new styles each season. According to Anne Fontaine, the mark of a great white shirt is that it can be worn with at least ten outfits - casual and dressy - and be machine-washable. We're hugely looking forward to the opening of their 2nd standalone store at the soon to be opened Scotts Square in November.
Steve Madden is easily America's most successful shoe designer. Considered the fashion footwear mogul of the 21st century, Madden has been responsible for the design and marketing of the company's trendsetting shoes for the past two decades. His vision to give young, fashion forward women a unique way to express their individuality through style resulted in millions of customers worldwide and propelled his designs to the forefront of the fashion industry.
In 1990, with a mere $1,100 in his bank account, Madden started crafting shoe designs from his Queens-based factory and the Steve Madden brand was born. With sheer guts, years of experience in the footwear industry, and unique creative designs, Steve Madden formed his own successful enterprise.
A year later, Madden introduced a redefined version of platform shoes, resulting in one of the most spectacular success stories in the early 1990's. Inspired by his favorite rock and roll stars of the 1970s, the thick, chunky heel became Steve Madden's signature and a phenomenon in women's shoes.
Madden's footwear vision is continuously evolving. Steve once said, "What inspires me is what I see people wearing on the streets of the world from New York to London and beyond. I get my ideas and inspiration from pounding the pavement all over the world. Today, fashion is dictated by individual style. To me, the fashion of the future is anything that a young guy or girl feels good wearing as long as it's put together in the right way."
Today, the Steve Madden brand represents a lifestyle. It is about embracing fashion while still maintaining that funky independence that first defined the brand 20 years ago. Expanding now into apparel and other accessories such as dresses, handbags, belts, sunwear, cold weather, outerwear and hosiery, Steve Madden is always looking toward to the future. As 2011 begins, more exciting opportunities are on the horizon including re-packaging, new store design rollout and expansion in global markets.
