HEAR Records is a new independent Music lifestyle store which started out with a passion for Music and social matters.
With the modern trend of downloading and buying on-line, they believe that in order to bring more people back to "real" music and to physically purchase music at a store (as buying on-line doesn’t quite have the same thrill as searching for your favorite piece and will ultimately kill the passion in music), they provide you with selections that appeal at prices that are reasonable.
Some might say that Vinyl gives you a better appreciation of cover art - SEE, and some might say that Vinyl gives you a better sound - HEAR, to them it’s the overall experience – FEEL. Vinyl is a better medium when compared against MP3 and CD to provide you with a sense of ownership enabling a deeper appreciation of the album. Most people can't remember their first MP3 download but they will always remember their first vinyl. We live in a digital world but we will always have Analogue hearts. Hear Records is the local distributor of Music Hall turntables & electronics and Art Vinyl flip frame. They stock a wide range of new releases, re-issues and used LPs of different genres.
Experience Music Hall turntables, Music Hall LLC was founded in USA in April 1985. It is a company dedicated to manufacturing, importing and distributing well priced, top quality, high-end audio components. Its emphasis is almost exclusively 2-channel (stereo); a rarity in this day of iPods and multi-channel products. It has grown over the years to become one of the pre-eminent distribution and manufacturing companies in the industry. Music Hall manufactures its own range of turntables in the Czech Republic. These are produced in a factory that has been making turntables for over 50 years. All Music Hall turntables come fitted with arms, cartridges and dust covers. They consistently make the "Recommended Components" list in Stereophile Magazine. The Music Hall turntables and electronics are most famed for their value for money and high quality.
Be amazed by ART Vinyl's original way of displaying your favorite vinyl records. ART Vinyl was founded in London, England in 2005, perfect for music or art enthusiasts and those with an eye for stylish interior design. Art Vinyl record frames give you the chance to stylishly display your vinyl albums, 12" records and their contents on your wall. With the record frame's unique design, you can also change over your vinyl record display within seconds, without having to remove the frame from the wall. The frames have a unique quick release system; simply press the catch at the top and they hinge open. Art vinyl understand that no two records are alike; with this in mind their Play and Display frames are specially designed and manufactured to compensate for differences in the thickness of LP or 12" records when displayed in the frame. This is achieved thanks to the unique "sponge finger" system on the back of the Flip Frame, which ensures that any 12" record will fit comfortably and securely inside.

Lastly, the "Glam Chic Collection" features outfits from power dressing to cocktail dresses. Its solemn color palette portrays the masculine sophistication of a cosmopolitan woman.

Premier Pitch is one of the largest pitch operators in Singapore, boasting a total of 19 pitches spanning three locations. Their newest venture, sees a new standard in futsal play. They believe that playing football should not just be something for the professionals, but something for everyone to enjoy.
Since the launch of their 7-a-side and 5-a-side pitches, they have been packed night after night with futsal enthusiasts, with some even travelling from the north and the east to play with them. To launch their latest 5-a-side pitches, they will be having a series of events and promotions in November and December, including having the Bandai Cup (an annual kids’ tournament).
The Premier Pitch was an idea that came about due to the lack of quality football facilities in Singapore. With the largest covered "Fieldturf" pitches on the island, they offer a unique opportunity to play both 5-a-side football and 7-a-side football.

Their 2 or 4 pitches are FIFA sanctioned sizes; and their revolutionary new Fieldturf playing surface, guarantees that you will have a quality of experience unrivalled in Singapore.
JKC1 is one of three "good class bungalow" plots carved from a larger plot developed by the Keck Seng Group. The house sits on a slight incline and overlooks a pool in the front yard, following the Feng Shui belief of balancing the "mountain" and "water" elements.
The first floor’s living and dining area is a vast and continuous space providing an unobstructed view of the pool and front lawn. The generously proportioned kitchen with laundry area is located to the back of the house together with the garage.
A centralised, combination staircase leads up into the open courtyard directly above the kitchen. To the left, is the master suite with bedroom, walk-in wardrobe and bathroom, while the children’s bedrooms and adjoining playroom occupy the opposite side. In the middle, a multi-purpose family area takes up the front section, while the back area houses an additional room. From the courtyard, a spiral staircase ascends onto the terrace that can serve as a BBQ or entertainment area where you can take in the beautiful views of the surrounding greenery.
Generous use of space is what distinguishes this house from others, making it a welcome relief from Singapore’s high-density urban environment.
Latte e Miele, which means "milk and honey" in Italian, was inspired by the biblical paradise "Land of Milk and Honey" where there is abundant sustenance, joy and happiness. Stepping into Latte e Miele will evoke a feeling of goodness and pleasure as you leave the parched office landscape, dusty roads and chaotic traffic behind to enter an oasis of gelato and other tasty treats.
Their gelato is made every morning at their shop with 100% natural ingredients and no added preservatives. Each flavour is strictly handcrafted in small quantities to ensure the freshness and quality of it. Rather than using the commercialised pre-mixes commonly used in many gelaterias, they choose to stick with traditional Italian recipes and methods, which involve a careful balancing of sugars, cream, fresh milk (and sometimes eggs) to achieve that perfect smoothness in texture and exquisitely intense flavour. The moderate use of cream in gelato also results in its having less than half the fat content of regular ice cream.
Enjoy fresh artisan gelato at your parties, with their portable gelato display cabinets specially imported from Italy for this purpose. You can have your own ice-cream stand for your wedding, birthday or other special events.

Lacoste is a lifestyle brand, born of the inventiveness of a tennis champion, René Lacoste, who created the first polo shirt ever, initially for himself and for his friends, to be both relaxed and elegant on and off the tennis courts. Nicknamed the Crocodile by the press in the late 1920's when he was a multiple Grand Slam tennis champion, René Lacoste had the animal embroidered on the blazer he wore on court, before making it the logo of his famous polo shirt.
This shirt revolutionised men's sportswear and replaced the woven fabric long, sleeved starched classic shirt. The first Lacoste shirt was white with shorter sleeves and ribbed brands. It was made in a light knitted fabric called Jersey petit pique.
Nowadays, the brand continues to offer quality. comfort and solidity which constitutes its uniqueness. Lacoste operates a large number of Lacoste boutiques worldwide; located as concessions in leading department stores and also as independent venue stores.
Do not miss out on their range of fragrance, such as Lacoste Style In Play, a fresh, masculine and playful scent.
The number 1 toy brand in the United Kingdom, Early Learning Centre (ELC) helps children get off to the best possible start and develop vital skills while enjoying creative and stimulating play with its wide range of tremendously fun toys.
Every ELC toy is designed to help children explore the boundaries of their imaginations and creativity, to make learning fun and help children be all they can be. Early Learning Symbols are printed on the outer packaging to help parents to understand the toys and how they help the child develop at different growth stages.
Early Learning Centre was founded 30 years ago in England by a father, John Beale, who was frustrated at the lack of non-violent toys for his small son. So he set about making his own toys and opened his first store. Today ELC toys are available in over 750 stores worldwide and the philosophy of rejecting toys that encourage violent or anti-social behaviour remains true to this day.
At Early Learning Centre, they are passionate about helping children get their learning off to the best possible start. That's why all of their toys have to meet these 3 important criteria:
Will a Child Learn?
Will a Child be Safe?
Will a Child have Fun?
Each and every toy in the ELC range has been designed to bring happiness and wonder to children and parents alike. Their toys also incorporate the best of the Essential Learning Skills that make your child's development so vitally important.
The owners of ELC Singapore, parents of small children themselves, grew up with the brand and knew that the same principles of learning through play would be as popular here in Singapore as they are in the rest of the world.

The Kallang Theatre used to be the setting for the Prime Minister's annual National Day Rally speech as well as original local works and world class musicals such as Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera.
However, the curtain came down on the 1,800-seat theatre in March 2007, following lower utilisation rates, as new venues such as the Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay moved into the spotlight.
Come August, the Kallang Theatre will come back to life alive after a four-year hiatus with the ambitions of becoming a regional arts and culture hub. It will kick off with a 80-minute musical primarily targeted at tourists and foreigners about the Republic's history from Sang Nila Utama days to modern day, titled Singapura - The Lion City Show.
Its operator, Asia Arts & Culture (AAC) will also market its in-house group of performers and shows for external events, both locally and elsewhere in Asia.
The Singapore Land Authority offered the Kallang Theatre building for tender in January. After a successful tender to operate and manage the premise, AAC - a Singapore-China joint-venture with the Yunnan Provincial Performing Arts Group - will be working with the Singapore Tourism Board to turn Kallang Theatre into an "Asian Arts and Culture hub.
The theatre will also have facilities such as dance halls and F&B outlets. Booking slots for the use of Kallang Theatre auditorium and various other facilities will be available from next month.
The Kallang Theatre was built in the 1970s as a cinema but was converted into a performing arts venue in 1986 to replace the National Theatre, which was demolished in the same year. The theatre's then-operator National Arts Council decided to shut it down after its utilisation rate dropped from 80 per cent to only 33 per cent in 2005.
Smiggle, Australia's hottest stationery brand, was born in 2003 when its founder noticed a gap in the market for colourful, fun, fashion-forward stationery. The first Smiggle store opened in South Yarra, Melbourne, and word spread fast about the bright pens, notebooks and gadgets that filled a tiny, but very special space. The concept took off and the company soon hit 20 stores, where it caught the eye of the Just Group - Australasia's most exciting fashion & apparel retailer. Smiggle joined the strong portfolio of brands at the Just Group in August 2007 and has not looked back since!
In December 2008 Smiggle jumped the seas and opened its first international store in New Zealand. Now in 2011, Smiggle is planning an exciting new country launch in addition to the opening of their new store in Singapore at Plaza Singapura. It's all part of the plan to be the world's most exciting and famous stationery brand.
The product range is now bigger and better than ever, with the team at the Smiggle Design Lab drawing inspiration from all over the globe. Their ultimate goal is to inspire and develop the creative spirits of their customers, by delivering original, fun and affordable stationery. Smiggle products are all about great design and innovation, bold colour, quirky graphics, great value and most of all - giving their fans the tools they need to have fun!
They think they've created a place that's well worth a peek. It's small, it's not spacious, and it's incredibly bright, with friendly and passionate Smigglers who will happily take you through the range. So head on in, experiment, explore, poke, prod and play, because a visit to their stores is just like a hug from your best friend. Where a smile meets a giggle, it's the world's greatest place.

Occupying a floor area of some 10,000sq ft, the SkyGarden consists of: Kidz Play, a children’s playground with both wet and dry play areas; K9 Park, the first and only dog park to be incorporated into a mall; and 10 establishments that will set to make nex a hub for learning and child development, and even a haven for parents.
For pets and their owners, the SkyGarden offers K9 Park, The Pet Safari and Doggiestyle Café. K9 Park, is Singapore’s first and only dog park incorporated into a mall. It was thoughtfully designed to have two separate play areas - one for big dogs and another for small dogs, in order to keep the canines safe from each other. The Pet Safari is a pet shopping mall that brings the best vets, pet groomers, products and services under one roof – and the only enclosed shopping area in Singapore that allows owners to shop freely with their pets. Doggiestyle Café, meantime, is a café-cum-dog day care centre that allows pets to dine with their owners.
Aside from housing pet-friendly establishments, the SkyGarden, is a delight to parents with young kids. The SkyGarden at
nex will have 5 educational outlets: Aspire Hub Education, which takes a comprehensive approach in helping students cope with their academic challenges; Baby Spa, which offers swimming exercises and massage to stimulate babies’ physical growth and mental development; Brillionaire Kids, which works closely with parents to bring out the best in their children; CS Montessori Learning Centre, which offers a broad-based curriculum to encourage the development of multiple intelligence in children; and The Ballet and Music Company, which offers ballet, dance and music courses for all ages. The learning hub at nex will be completed with the National Public Library that will open in March.
The SkyGarden also has something for the parents and pet owners. After they have left their little ones in good hands in any of the abovementioned establishments, the adults can take their much-deserved break and indulge themselves at Young & Slim Beauty Bar, which offers innovative skin & body care products and treatments from Japan or shop at the soon to be opened King & King Wong, a lifestyle and home furnishing store.
Pet owners bringing their dogs to the K9 Park may only access the Park through a specially designated pet lift, so as not to cause any inconvenience for other shoppers. Dogs are strictly not allowed in other areas of the mall.
Kidz Play and K9 Park are open from 11am to 9pm daily. The SkyGarden however follows the malls operating hours (10.30 am to 10.30 pm).
The Woodlands Waterfront project is part of the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s Parks and Waterbodies Plan, which seeks to enhance Singapore's green spaces and waterbodies on an island-wide basis. The project is under URA’s ALivE, or Active, Liveable and Endearing Communities programme, which upgrades waterfront areas, enhance community areas and improve amenities in these places. The proposal for this project was first featured during the Woodlands Improvement Plan exhibition in 2002 and again under the Leisure Plan of the draft Master Plan exhibition in 2008.
Seeking to create new recreational destinations for the residents of Woodlands and other nearby residential estates, a new 1.5 km long waterfront promenade will be created along this little known stretch of serene and tranquil coastline. In addition, a 9ha site, which is not needed for development in the next 10 to 15 years, will be fully developed into a coastal park by the end of 2010.
The project is developed in two Phases. Phase 1 consists of a 200m long waterfront promenade connected to a 400m long refurbished jetty, waterfront picnic areas, event plaza, and an amenity building with a roof top look-out point. Phase 2 will offer an additional 1.3km long waterfront promenade with fitness stations and lookout points, and a park scheduled to be ready by end 2010.
The Woodlands Waterfront will also form part of the comprehensive network of parks and park connectors in the area and is intended to provide connectivity for the residents to the waterfront for recreational purposes. With its completion, more of the northern waterfront will be accessible for public enjoyment. It will also be linked to the recently completed Admiralty Park and the park connector along Woodlands Centre Road and Admiralty Road West in the future.
Designed for the avid exercise-goer or simply for a family to take a stroll, the Promenade is conceived as a linear recreational and exercise trail with unobstructed, expansive views of the Johor Straits. The promenade will be kept shady by existing and planting of new trees.
A 9 ha coastal Park by the Sea will be created, of which 3ha will be open in Phase 1, while the remaining park areas will open in Phase 2 in the later part of the year. About 6 ha of this former warehousing site will eventually be converted into green spaces with lush planting for recreational uses. The design of the park also leverages on existing terrain and contours, forming varied spaces and interesting views. The park will be a major recreational destination that capitalizes on the sea frontage. Sufficient outdoor spaces will be created to accommodate various sports activities and community events amongst other possible recreational uses.
For Phase 1, the park has 4 distinctive areas open to the public – the Picnic Green to the west of the jetty, the Event Space in the centre, the refurbished Jetty Walk to the north, and the rugged Playground and exercise area to the east.

The Comme des Garcons PLAY brand, affectionately synonymous with their signature heart logo has expanded in Singapore with a new POCKET store that has just opened at the slightly obscure COMO House building off Orchard Road.
Not unlike a convenience store, POCKET is stocked with a vast range of PLAY T-shirts as well as their branded fragrances, wallets and nick-nacks.
Singapore is only the third city in the world to feature such a store, the others being in Paris and Tokyo and this shows the esteem with which we all hold the PLAY brand and our need for having a well-stocked one-stop shop.
Rochester House is about fun for the whole family; a full service restaurant with a fun filled indoor and outdoor playground. The Playhouse is a safe and clean environment for the children to mess about in. The parents and their friends take it easy in the garden cafe and restaurant, within eyeshot and out of earshot of their little ones. Now the daddies/mummies can have their cake and eat it too!
The Playhouse, taking up the whole bungalow, is an indoor playhouse for children designed for up to 12 years of age. It is specially designed with full safety and hygiene standards.
The Playhouse is a indoor and outdoor playground housed in a grand colonial bungalow. There are 2 floors of play area. The ground floor is for free-play for children ages up to 7 and is open to public all the time. The second floor consists of 3 rooms and are meant for slightly older kids of about 7-12. The rooms can also be used for kids birthdays, private play-groups, structured play sessions, and other events and sessions. They have a private nursing and baby changing room, and a toilet fitted for children too.
Outside by the outdoor cafe is a sand pit and water-play area. Entry to these 2 areas is part of the play fees. The Playhouse is gated, regularly cleaned and disinfected. Except for parents with very young children and infants, parents are allowed but not encouraged to stay in the Playhouse, as their concept is to allow parents some personal time while still near their children.
The Garden is an events area perfect for christenings, weddings, kids parties and corporate events. The space is supported by a banqueting staff and a kitchen support who can serve 400 cocktail style or 150 sit-down dinners fresh from their kitchens. 7 Rochester Park Singapore
Jacob Ballas Children's Garden is Asia's first children's garden. Dedicated to all children of Singapore, it is designed to provide unique discovery and learning experiences in a garden setting.
Through play and exploration, the Children's Garden will cultivate an appreciation for plants, nature and the environment among the young. It meets the demands for nature education in an increasingly sophisticated tropical Garden City. Developed along the theme "All Life On Earth Depends on Plants", it is created as a unique and interactive fun place where children up to 12 years of age can discover how plants provide their daily needs. It also gives children a first introduction to the life sciences - an important branch of science as Singapore embarks on life sciences research as a new thrust for economic growth.
Experiences in the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden will stimulate a sense of wonder for the plant world and provide happy memories for our child visitors.
This is the first time that the Botanic Gardens has created facilities specially for young visitors as part of its redevelopment masterplan. Located at the Bukit Timah Core of the Botanic Gardens, the Children's Garden was developed at a cost of about $7 million with the support of the Jacob Ballas Estate, Dr Rosslyn Leong and Reef Holdings.
